Pineapple Corer, [Upgraded, Reinforced, Thicker Blade] Newness Premium Pineapple Corer Remover (Black)

I have a plastic spiral pineapple cutter that I have been using for quite some time, but I was noticing that using it has became more difficult to turn the slicer handle clockwise through the pineapple. After receiving this stainless steel spiral cutter, I immediately bought a pineapple to test it on. First thing I noticed was that the clutter handle was very comfortable and contoured to fit my hand very comfortably. Because this cutter was made of stainless steel, my initial turn into the pineapple was very easy and almost no effort was needed. As I continued through the pineapple, I noticed that I didn't have to apply a downward pressure on the handle to keep the cutter engaged with the uncut flesh...I just turned the handle and let the cutter do all the work... The pineapple slices came out just a tad bit thicker than the slices using the plastic cutter, but that was not an issue or problem for me. This stainless steel cutter was almost like running a hot knife blade through hard refrigerated butter. I was very pleased, I also threw away my plastic cutter almost directly after slicing up the pineapple using the new cutter, mostly because I had to gather all the pieces to toss them. Cleaning this cutter was way easier than cleaning the plastic cutter. Removing the pineapple core from the cutter shaft was totally way easier to remove from this cutter shaft compared to what I had to do after using the plastic cutter. My wife loves to eat the pineapple core, and in order to remove it from the plastic cutter, I had to push my first finger really hard on the core end at the handle, sometimes I had to find something that would fit in the shaft but not bore into the core in order to push the core out the other end. With this cutter, all I had to do was use my first finger (only this time without pushing my finger hard) to move the core down to the other end of the cutter shaft until it protruded out the other end. Then I pulled the core right out of the cutter shaft with little to no pulling effort. The core came out without breaking and the texture of the core outside was very smooth unlike the rough texture I encountered while using the plastic cutter. Way impressed, with the steel cutter was way easier to clean up rather than the plastic cutter. All I did after removing the pineapple core, was run it under the water faucet to rinse out the leftover pineapple residue. Simple...horray, I can now buy more pineapples and enjoy the slices more since the effort I exerted while using the plastic cutter all but vanished when I used the steel cutter...what a relief... I found that the steel cutter assembly was very sturdy and virtually had no play when I made the initial cut into the pineapple. I really recommend this stainless steel pineapple spiral slicer to anyone...in my mind it deserves a total of 12 Stars and more thumbs up than I could give using my 2 hands...

Love the pineapple corer, easy to use and cleans up quickly

I really like this item. Easy to use. My big concern was how much trouble it would be to remove the pineapple once you reach or get close to the base. The only drawback is that the coring frequently does get all of the hard core of the pineapple, and a fair amount of pineapple is left close to skin. My solution has been to shave that part of the pineapple with a knife. Another solution is to open up the remnant after coring and shave it with a peeler. That said I still like it. Pineapple is a great fruit to enjoy during the winter.

Good quality product that does exactly what it says it does. No need to put pressure on the device to make it work. Just turn it and it does all of the work. Great tool.

OK, so my review title may be a bit confusing - just what IS a 'perfect' pineapple. For purposes of this review, let us assume you have a pineapple between 3 and 5 pounds, and there is ABSOLUTELY no curvature in the fruit - it's as straight as an arrow. If you have such a fruit, this tool will be absolutely amazing - you'll end up with perfect spiral-sliced pineapple deliciousness where the fruit's core has been perfectly segregated. But what if you have a go with a slightly 'crooked' pineapple? Well, you'll still wind up with a perfect spiral-sliced pineapple, but your slices will contain a lot of core, and the separated core will have a lot of edible pineapple fruit. This device works amazingly well, but you MUST be working with a pineapple fruit that does not have any curves so the core chamber can drill straight down on the fruit's core. I found the device to be exceptionally easy to operate - just keep turning until you core through to the fruit's bottom. I suggest that - in addition to trimming the fruit's topmost section, you also trim off the fruit's bottom. Yah, you're going to wind up with juice everywhere, but you should be able to figure out ways to capture and contain the pineapple juice. Right?

No trae marca, casi el 100% del producto no estaba soldado, terrible la calidad de los dientes para cortar, sin caja, me lo entregaron vilmente en una bolsa sin protector y miserablemente cerrada con una mini tira de cinta adhesiva... sin duda yo hubiera fabricado uno mejor. Lástima que no se puede poner 0 estrellas.
