This is a great rug: Thick and full. Very well made. Deep navy blue.But my review today is mainly to give you a word of caution: Beware of fakes being sold right here on Amazon.I ordered two of these rugs: One from Amazon, and since I liked it so much, I ordered one later from one of their third party sellers, "GlenValley Inc," (because at the time Amazon itself was out of stock.)The Amazon one was a real Safavieh rug, high quality, with thick jute backing and the Safavieh label on the back saying it was made in Turkey.The one from GlenValley was pretty much the quality of a cheap bath rug. Their rug was not nearly as dense as the real Safavieh one, the yarns were thinner, and the backing was rubber. It was a brighter blue. There was no label on the rug back, but there was a label on the package wrapping that said "Made in China." No manufacturer was specified. (See attached picture of fake rug rubber backing.)I just wanted to let everyone know the difference between the real and fake rugs. I'll be reordering a real Safavieh rug from Amazon itself to replace the fake one.Picture of fake rug rubber backing:

This is people wondering what the difference between the Milan and California Shag rugs from Safavieh. I spent a lot of time tried to figure this out and they only thing I had to go on was the QNA comments where someone said they were the same, but the Milan was a little thicker. I bought 2 California rugs and loved them. Great quality for the price, holding up nicely for about 2 year now. I wanted 2 more in a different size. I considered the Milan because the aqua blue Milan looked brighter than the light blue of the California shag. I wish I had order the California rugs again. Here is the real difference between the too. California coloring is varied, my navy has a few lighter fibers in with the mostly darker navy. The green California rug I have is also nicely varied with green colors. The varied coloring blend well and doesn't show up lint and dog hair as much as a solid color rug. The Milan is a solid colored shag. They are both the same quality, fiber length, and thickness.

Soft, plush and just what I wanted! It arrived quickly and well packaged, with the ends covered with a protective "shower-cap-type" elastic-lined fabric. It unwrapped and laid flat all but the last 2 inches or so which were flat in the morning. It does have a bit of a chemical smell, but it dissipated quickly and was not bad enough to bother us while sleeping in the same room the night we got the rug. It also had a note from the company saying how they pay attention to detail and how customer service is important (nice touch) and they mean it because I actually had them ship me 3 FREE SAMPLES before I decided on the color. Speaking of color...Trueness to Color:When comparing the swatches sent to me: white, silver and dark grey - I opted for the dark grey. BUT when I received it, the rug was actually MUCH DARKER than the sample was that they sent me! I actually liked it better, but it is almost black which is a very big difference, so BEWARE! *See pics*Compared to other rugs:This one ( Unique Loom Solid Shag Collection Snow White 4 x 6 Area Rug (4' x 6') ) was so cheaply made I could see the backing through the surface! It also claimed to be white but was a yellowy off-white and had a slippery backing that would require a rug gripper under it.My favorite rug of all time for softness is ( K-MAT 32x47 Inch Large Luxury White Bath Mat Soft Shaggy Bathroom Rugs Non-slip Rubber Shower Rugs Microfiber Washable Bath Rug For Floor Bathroom Bedroom Living Room ) but it's just a large bath rug and not available in 8' x 10' or I would have been overjoyed!The rug is beautiful and the backing is textured enough that I don't use a rug gripper under it. Anyway, after shopping for several weeks for a good rug, this one is finally the softness, plushness, thickness, non-slipperiness, color and price I wanted! I would give 5 stars, but the color difference is too drastic to ignore. Please see pics and click "helpful" if it was! Thanks!

First off, this is a really nice rug. It is plush and soft and a great rug for the price.I do want to include some information others may find helpful about the GREY color, which was the one I ordered. It can be tricky and tedious trying to make sure you order the proper color online! In the product photos of this color, you can see in the close up that it is more of a speckled look, which is accurate. However, in some of the further away pics, it looks more solid-ish and appears to be a lighter shade of grey than the close-up. The close-up is the correct color! I ordered and crossed my fingers that it would appear more like the light grey, but it definitely does not. It is almost a black/brown/grey/white speckle, like pepper looks in the shaker. It is lovely, but too dark for the space I wanted to use it in. Because the rug is nice and it would be too much hassle to return, I found somewhere else in my home to put it. I will order another safavieh rug in beige instead of grey.One other note: the rug is pretty thick and if you aren't used to having a thick rug where you are planning to use this one, you may trip on it a few times til you get used to it. Overall though, it is a nice rug for the price. With it being olefin (aka, polypropylene...I am in the carpet/rug industry) which is basically an inexpensive plastic product, I don't expect it to last a decade or more like a wool rug, but I will be happy to get a couple of years out of it, and at this price, I can afford to update every couple of years.

I read reviews on how nice this rug was but it doesn't compare to what it feels like in person. I almost prefer to sit on the floor than my couch at times lol. I definitely would recommend. Its beautiful and plush. My kids love it too!

We bought two of these for our home in California, loved them, and were delighted to see they were also available throught Amazon.CA. Bought a third one for our home in Canada, and it's just as nice. Luscious, deep pile, a treat especially for bare feet. Lies flat (no tripping edge rolls), conceals crumb spills nicely, gentle glistening sheen. Perfect.

This carpet was much better quality than I was expecting. The colour was exactly what I was looking for. Absolutely fantastic.Wish they used purolator or FedEx. UPS (which is always garbage) slacked on the delivery, was delayed twice. I live in a major city, no reason for the delay.

This rug is everything. It’s so thick and soft and my living room looks amazing. The compliments just keeps rolling in. I even used it for my baby shower and it was just beautiful.

I really liked the feel of my rug for the bedroom. Getting out of bed and putting your feet onto it felt great. The color wasn't so much off white/ivory, as I found it to be more of an light oatmeal color - which I actually liked.
