I would say the sock fit womens size 4uk to size 7uk. I am a size 7 and they fit perfectly. I wouldn't say they'd fit anything above a 7 0r less than a 4. They really are brilliant socks. I will order more. Hope this helps

Are these really merino wool? Some reviews say they are not and it just says 70% wool on the label?

I was unable to find proof of this on packaging either. However I am so pleased with the warmth and comfort that I have accepted them as a maybe. They are proving to be some of the best socks I have bought in many years. Washing excellently(I am following washing instructions) and stretch comfortably over swollen feet and ankles.

Has anyone washed these socks in the washing machine and were they okay?

Yes l washed them in a washing machine 30 degrees 1200 spin they were fine.

Lovely and warm.

Lovely soft and very warm socks. I bought them to wear in Iceland which actually was cold when I visited. But I wear them in UK in the winter as they are so snuggly. When your feet are warm so are you. Ideal gift for Grammy. Wash in warm water as they are wool. Very good quality.

GORGEOUS!

Fabulous socks - soft, comfortable, pretty and warm. The toe seam is very flat and cannot be felt at all when walking. I'm a UK size 6.5 and the small size fits perfectly. Machine washable, but air dry only - no tumble-drying.

Warm, soft, no scratchy seams

I have now had these socks for 2 weeks and love them. They are warm, soft and very comfortable. They appear well made and there are no scratchy seams. I have machine washed in a cool wash with a wool detergent and they have survived with no shrinking and retained softness. I particularly like that they are not too thick and I can wear them with regular winter boots and shoes. At the price, they are a real bargain and I have just ordered a second pack in a lighter range of colours.

Very pleased with quality and comfort!

The socks arrived on time, exactly as described. I normally have cold feet but for the first time my feet have been warm all day! The socks are a good, comfortable fit. Worn for the first time today so I haven't washed the yet.**After writing a glowing review I am disappointed to find that just one sock has been badly made.

These are lovely!

Thick and comfy, wash and wear well. Great on our long hikes keeping my feet dry and a good temperature. Highest merino content I could find too, at such a good price!

Nice sock but tight around the neck of the sock and from the ankle up- come up too small

Ice and warm but too tight around the leg. I have to fold the over and that’s not ideal either. I don’t have thick calf’s either! Quite the opposite. Shame as the designs are nice and the socks feel lovely and soft but with circulation issues I need the blood supply to my feet!! Sadly won’t buy again.
