I have cranial nerve compression and have been in a cervical collar for a few months pending surgery. I needed a second collar because the one I was authorized from the VA needed to air out and dry after cleaning. Putting on a damp collar after cleaning was causing ulcers on my neck and chin. I bought this one because it was inexpensive. The collar is adequate, but the Velcro tape started to fail almost immediately and would pop loose. It will probably stabilize a strapped-down accident victim for transport to a medical facility, but definitely *not* a tool for therapeutic use.

I'm only using this collar to shower in, so that I don't get my Aspen collar wet.

I got this brace to change out with the one from my doctor's office, hoping to change the pressure points. It is very rubbery and sweaty, but this turned out to be a perfect shower brace! Just not anything I would recommend for extended wear/

Too difficult to wear and remove. Too hard
