Does what I need it to do, better than I expected it to do it.
Very impressed for the price! Running this with power efficient components is definitely the ideal use case. I am powering a build that is using the Ryzen 5 5500 and the RX 5700 XT, with zero issues. I would advise against pushing these units to their rated capacity out of pure caution. I don't have fancy testing equipment to see how pure the delivery but hardware monitor is showing very steady voltage delivery to both my GPU and CPU. My full system draw is about 560 watts and this thing runs cool and quite- very very pleased. Cables that come with the unit are adequate and the pigtail PCIE is keeping by 5700 XT fed just fine, which I run with a conservative undervolt which allows full clock speed while pulling 185 watts.Obviously this is not a PSU for high end systems ( don't be silly ). However, for a budget build utilizing power efficient gear your going to be just fine!

High quality for the current low price
I purchased this product 13 months ago. It's been a beast running my gamming PC. But it died, unexpectedly. I contacted Apevia and told them what happened. After providing original in voice from Amazon along with picture of data plate and SN Apevia sent me a replacement within a couple day, honoring their warranty. They were great.buyer tip: Make sure you get a 80+Gold cert PSU they have 3 year warranties. Anything less and it on ly has a 1yr warranty

Good replacement PSU and upgrade so far
Good power supply so far works great! Nice PCIE modular cables and length. Worked well for replacing a old Dell power supply in my Optiplex 9010 and XFX DPU. Would recommend.Cable capacity:Lots of optionsEase of installation:Fits with some case mod

Faulty - Random power surges causing system crashes
Unfortunately returning, after a few days of testing with benchmarks and games, my new PC build has crashed over and over again, with each instance also registering voltage spikes at the same time. It's not particularly noisy, wasn't a pain to install, and operates under idle conditions and regular workload fine, but after hours of working with chatGPT and testing various conditions, while gaming it doesn't last even an hour without power fluctuating and causing a system crash. Might be a good budget option for those who don't have high power needs.

A budget PSU
I think a lot of people are wary of Apevia because they're considered something of a "no-name" nowadays; most have forgotten that Apevia has been a big name since 2000. Although they used to be primarily known for their PC cases, they started making power supplies in 2005 so they've got some experience under their belts. Honestly for the low price this PSU costs, it works great and is aesthetically pleasing. There are really only 2 minor things that should be noted. The first is the flat molded cables; pretty much every single PSU manufacturer makes cables like this now, so it's not exactly a bad point for just this PSU, but man these things drive me nuts. Always super stiff and difficult to tuck away for neat cable management due to how wide and flat they are. I wish we could get back to the old days of power supplies where every wire was seperate and multicolored, because they were much easier to cable manage. The second point is the noise level of the fan, which a few people have said in their reviews is incredibly loud, while others say it is not loud at all. The true answer is really both. At maximum speed, the fan in the PSU is very loud and whiny, but at anything below maximum speed, the fan is perfectly silent. Realistically there are only 2 times when the PSU fan will hit maximum speed; running torture tests like GPU or CPU benchmarks, and for exactly 1 second when you first power on your computer. Most motherboards will ramp all connected fans to maximum speed for 1 second upon startup as a hardware test to check all fans are working, and then immediately engages PWM or voltage control, depending on 3 or 4 pin headers. This is perfectly tolerable unless you are just really really picky, in which case there are plenty of PSUs that cost 2-3 times as much for you that will not have the 1 second of fan sound. Torture tests also hardly reflect real time performace and 99% of people will never push their hardware far enough to require the PSU to need that much cooling.

Great power supply, Great price!
I bought this APEVIA PSU to replace my previous PSU (also an APEVIA unit) which died by a mistake made when building the computer originally, and the need for additional peripheral power, that took a full 5 years to manifest to the point (it was installed upside down) that it finally killed that original Apevia unit dead. Needless to say, definite high marks to Apevia for making a seriously rugged PSU that can hang from excessive heat buildup!! I'm sold! This unit, correctly installed this time btw, works just great, and is whisper quiet along with giving me enough extra power above the computer's needs, to run a bank of USB 3.0 ports w/card reader and charge my wireless headphones, phone, and bluetooth speaker(s) (not all at once though!) in addition to its main job of computer power. Will likely stay with this brand going forward with future computer builds and upgrades.
