I teach kindergarten and my students absolutely love this activity! The magnetic wand is a fun and interactive way for them to practice the skills on the cards. The cards that are included align with all of the skills that I am already teaching in kindergarten and I love that it is already made. It is something that my students will be using for years to come. I would love to have a set of 6 of these to use in a small group.

I got these for kindergarten centers. They are hard to use as a learning tooland the kids get distracted from the learning target. I tried using them with small group and for some of the kids the chips were so small they were tedious and I could not really figure out how to use them. The kids do enjoy playing with them and they are an activity that will keep kinders engaged during independent centers while I'm teaching small groups and look the part if admin walks in.

This reading readiness kit is a really fun and engaging concept, especially for young learners. There are multiple ways to play and interact with the kit, which helps keep it from feeling repetitive. That said, the instructions could be more thorough. While the activities are intuitive to an extent, there are no clear step-by-step directions, so parents may need to experiment a bit to understand the intended learning progression. Because of the magnetic element, it can easily become just a “fun magnet toy” if not guided. We’ve found it works best when incorporated into a daily routine so your child understands the purpose behind the activity and builds consistent reading skills. Overall, it’s a strong learning tool, engaging for kids, and something I would recommend for regular, routine use rather than occasional play.

The idea is great, you swipe you magnetic wand over the letters as you read and it picks them up etc. the problem is that the cards have the letters too close together and the magnet picks up everything which is frustrating. We really like the magic wand idea but we have to space the letters out a lot more than the cards indicate

Great learning tool and the magnet wand ales clean up easy

The magnetic wand is what gets used the most.. I use it with other magnetic items and not the ones it came with. The activities are good and aligned with the Science of Reading for the most part but my students got tired of them quickly. I use the sound boxes the most. The activities are definitely geared towards very early readers but the wand and letter tiles can be used for many different activities for a variety of ages.
