Great converter
Functions as described and is easy to install. There are cheaper converters but remember, cheap is not good and good is not cheap.

Works perfectly!
This is a great deal for the money! It’s good enough that I’m re-digitizing some video that I had previously done at VGA quality. Just plug it in and forget it’s there!Would definitely use this vendor again, and highly recommend this product.

Does what its suppose to do
I love this device, I bought it to facilitate a change to our Projector. We lost the composite input on our projector, so we used this to change the composite signal to HDMI. Worked like a charm.

Using for retro game streaming from original consoles
This works well to get older consoles into your computer in conjunction with an Elgato HD60 or similar. It has a simple RCS/Composite input (yellow, red, white), that converts with low to no latency into an HDMI out. So, Composite from console in, HDMI out to your television if using this to easily hook up to a new TV, or HDMI into your capture device to get into your capture environment.NOTE: This does not preserve a 4:3 older telvision aspect ratio. For viewing on a new TV this may be a deal-breaker, unless your television has the ability to squish the image to 4:3. For capture it is fairly trivial to resize the resulting image into a proper aspect ratio, so not an issue there. One other bit of tech note: I have personally hooked up an NES (with audio splitter for L/R), Atari 2600, and Odyssey 300. The 300 DID NOT WORK, but it was not necessarily this unit's fault. The power output for particularly old old consoles is very low, so low that the older battery-operated 300 did not produce a powerful enough image. The 2600 converted fine with some display artifacting. I have not yet brought into xSplit to see how it looks properly sized, but do not expect it to be a significant issue. The NES was fine with no issue. Also hooked up a TI994a and worked the best of the bunch, with the above-mentioned aspect ratio issue, into my modern TV.Great way to bring older consoles into your stereo as well. Construction of the device seems very solid and well made. So far all is looking good.

Great for old Gaming Systems!
Works great to convert the RCA output from a Sony PS2 to an HDMI output to a TV or amplifier. The video quality is good - as good as it can be since the original output is low res. I like that it is powered by a wall outlet versus the competitors which use a USB connection. No lag and no complaints. Great product!

Don't work well with VCR's
Bought this to connect my JVC S-VHS VCR to my Samsung Plasma. All I can say is its got serious limitations. When playing back a video tape the top 3rd of the picture the colors are shifted as if losing color burst on certain scan lines. Being a electronics engineer it looks like this converter box has serious design flaws. I couldn't use it for its intended purpose, and needed to use a work around. Nothing beats connecting an analog signal to its specific port directly on the TV. The problem is TV manufactures have taken away most analog inputs and force everyone to use stupid HDMI, which has all type of handshake issues for starters. I was able to get this box to work with my Laser Disc player so it wasn't a total loss, that's why I gave it two stars. The power adapter I received with it had a UL listing so that's good for safety sake. Will it work with what you want to use it for? Its a roll of the dice. Problem is the only other options are the cheaper boxes which I already tried, and that one loses its audio after a while. I wish someone would come out with a decent quality product which really work well these days. All this Chinese cheap junk is mostly hit or miss.

This is a great AV Composite to HDMI converter/upscaler
This is a great AV Composite to HDMI converter/upscaler. It does a great job with the image and makes it more convenient to hook up via HDMI. Now the NES is displayed green lines (as in a small area) but its ONLY there when the image is black. When it's any color it's not there. It wasn't there with my PS2, GameCube and Wii games when doing game capturing with. I find it to be one of the best ones. Now I noticed it does have a buzz sound but its not noticeable. I only noticed it when I watched a video playback of Mario Bros and GTA 3, BUT it was only there when no audio was played from those games. When audio was played it was gone. Again, it is NOT noticable when I played the games and my wife plays NES games all the time with this device. Selecting 1080p is BEST for some games, depending on the system as in the video you can see Friday the 13th the screen was cut off on 720p but not 1080p.
