These are priced so well that I buy them and cut them down to replace other more expensive, smaller anodes.

What I love about this anode is that it's almost 10" long and cost's a fraction of the price of the actual anode I need that is 4" long. So I buy a few of these and cut them with a hack saw, and BOOM....fits perfectly for less than 1/2 price.FYI I use these on my marine water heater which requires 3/4" thread, magnesium anode rod.
