To my mind this is the best primer for the money for miniatures.
To my mind this is the best primer for the money for miniatures. I've tried Citadel and Humbrol and this wins on both quality and value. It dries quickly and the coverage is even and I've had no problem with the texture. I use this with Vallejo paints and its great.

Good quality primer.
Army painter primers are great for all kinds of miniatures. My one critique of them is how easily you can accidently break the spray nozzle when removing the lid. I've bought 3 cans now and of them two had at least half a can left when the nozzle snapped.

Fractured Paint, Ruined models, Broken spray nozzle
The paint had split in the can so after around 30 minutes of drying the paint was cracked, in case it was incorrect use the following weekend I again thoroughly shook the can and sprayed upside down to clear the nozzle but had the same result on the models and ruining the squad. The spray nozzle also broke mid use and so the can was then leaking paint from the top without even being used.Do not buy this product from Army Painter, I used Vallejo black spray primer on the same day as the first time using army painter in the same conditions and under the same directions (15cm away, short bursts sprayed across the face of the model) with no issues.

Good coverage and finish. Recommend you wear a mask or spray outside as smell is strong. Will buy again.
