Works great!
This is wonderful! My husband recently had surgery and he's not able to close his right eye for some time. He has to wear a pro-optic moisture chamber to help keep his eye moist. He's been wearing a clear one but he said when it's bright or sunny outside that it hurts his eye and makes it water a lot. I found this tinted one and it's perfect!

Great for Bell's Palsy
I recently came down with Bell's Palsy and use this to drive, cook and sleep. I put paper tape over it at night so it doesn't move. I still use eye drops and ointment, but this keeps my eye much more comfortable. It's been 2 weeks and the moisture chamber has been holding up well.

Good for short use
This patch / moisture chamber works good and is very comfortable. I looses a star because the elastic band stretches out but is easy to replace as the elastic is available at any sewing store.

Can be improved
Used it at night for 2+ months. the padding falls off now. The string was pressing on the ear and the eyelid, could use some improvments to the design. It seems to help preserving the moisture.

Not Too Bothersome To Get Used To
The few times I used both my white for sleeping and the UV black for driving, they fit and held on nicely. Not too bothersome to get used to. Light in weight. Came with a snap shut plastic storage box, too!

These are a great idea, but wow are they cheaply constructed
These are a great idea, but wow are they cheaply constructed.I ordered a tinted and a clear, both large, but the tinted is considerably smaller and has warped over the span of 4 days such that it is no longer usable due to pressing on my eyelid (no sunlight involved as it hasn't left my office).

Great idea, but has the build quality of a cheap Halloween costume
I was looking for something like this eyepatch for Bell's Palsy and am grateful something this effective and simple to use exists. However, wow, it's a rip off at $18 after tax. It's 5 cents worth of thin elastic, 5 cents worth of foam, a 10 cent sheet of semi flexible plastic, and some glue/doublesided tape to hold the thing together. I wouldn't call this a high quality item. The edges of the eyepatch are sticky and can stick to your skin. The elastic tension will vary with your head size, but if it's too tight you can easily replace it, or splice more length into it (good time to learn to tie knots, like a square knot or double fisherman bend).I like the smoked lens to help with sensitivity to light. It doesn't affect depth perception too much either. It definitely keeps my eye from drying out all day, add a bit of eye lube for more comfort.I can sleep with it, it weighs nothing, much better than the feeling of having your eyes taped shut, ugh. Adjust the elastic so it doesn't put too much pressure around your eye, then it will feel like almost nothing is on your face.I bought the Large size and it felt small at first, however after smushing and flexing it around it's actually comfortable and doesn't impede my vision. I have a feeling it won't last long and will quickly run into a Grandfather's Hammer kind of situation where all the parts are eventually replaced, but we'll see.

Great for bells palsy
This eyepatch is amazing, the great thing about it is that you can still see through the affected eye and maintain your depth perception. Takes some getting used to, but it keeps your dry eye moisturized, even if you only wear it for 15 minutes per hour or so. Great for driving, as you can still see through it and your eye will not dry out. Just put some gel eyedrops in and wear this, it's a genius product.
