Is coco via high in oxalates compared to cocoa powder and other forms of cocoa? (I have calcium oxalate kidney stones.)

However, as cocoa is known to contain oxalate and our cocoa extract is produced from cocoa, it is possible that the extract and thus CocoaVia™ Memory+ contains oxalate. If you are concerned with oxalate levels, please consult with your physician before using CocoaVia™ supplement products.

Why not just consume cocoa powder or cocoa nibs as opposed to using this supplement?

Thank you for your question. The health benefits in cocoa are tied to cocoa flavanols. In most cases, cocoa powder nor nibs state how many flavanols are in each serving. You would have to to consume approximately 10 servings or more of generic cocoa powder to consume the 750mg of cocoa flavanols in one serving of CocoaVia Memory+. In short, Memory+ gives you all the benefits of cocoa without all the calories, carbs, and fat.
