When I bought this, I felt stupid for paying so much for an empty box. Pictures don't do this thing justice. It is extremely well made and sturdy. The plastic material is heavy gauge. The latches are strong and easy to open and close. I'm not going to say it's cheap for what it is, but it is worth the price IMO. The double-side design is cool. You can flip it over and there is a whole new set of compartments. Of course, you can see what's in every compartment. You can adjust the size of compartments by removing partitions as you'd expect. My bottom line: if you need this, get it; you won't be disappointed.

I ordered these for my beads and they are perfect for not only my beads. I have other things like nuts and bolts. I got the twin pack and they are holding up well to being dropped and moved around. They stack well and I like that I can remove the separators and make spots bigger. I also like that it has easy open locks. It was also a great price for the 2.

Bought this for my son’s rock collection so he has a place to store and organize them. I’ll need another one soon but I don’t think I’ll get another of these. It’s fine for smaller rocks but anything larger than a couple inches can’t fit in it either because it’s too tall to close the lid or it’s too wide to fit. You can remove a divider to make longer areas but only lengthwise. A couple rock just wouldn’t fit. It’s also not the sturdiest container. It latches fine and seems fairly well built but I worry a drop with rocks inside will bust it. I think they stack together but I only have one so I can’t test how well that works but I’d love if whatever system we land on for rock collection could stack easily or even lock together for organization. Might try big box store tool storage next. But they can be so expensive. This at least is reasonably priced for what it is. The clear lid makes it easy to see the rocks in each compartment which is very nice and what I was looking for. Why I went for this brand over another.

Bear with me as I explain why I need this exact utility box. It'll all make sense in a minute... I cannot for the life of me find a backpack which holds stuff at the top as well as the bottom. 99% of them are designed to put a bunch of textbooks in it and maybe a laptop and a tablet. Then a couple of little pockets for pencils and maybe a wallet. The little videos for most backpacks also show people folding up clothes and putting them in their backpack. Well, I don't use textbooks and I'm not using it to tour Europe any time soon. My backpack is my murse. I have everything in it I might need when away from home when not expected to be, or need something I didn't expected to need. So I have a bunch of little...uh...life things: Like cables for every device that I, friends, or family may ever need, adapters, a phone car charger, toiletries, electric razor, meds, toothbrush, toothpaste, sunscreen, bandaids, nail clippers, dental floss, breath mints, tums, etc. But if you were to throw all that stuff into a backpack, it will quickly fill up the two tiny pockets and everything else would fall to the bottom and be difficult to find when I need it. The only backpacks that have compartments at the top as well as the bottom are photographer backpacks which have about 6 to 8 deep compartments for lenses and such. But I have a boatload of small stuff (as mentioned). So rather than look for a backpack that works for my needs (maybe someday I'll invent one!), I created a "system" for my existing backpack. I tried several fishing tackle boxes, cable holders, and even makeup cases, but none of them fit perfectly in my BP like this one does. However, it turns out that I needed a few larger compartments, as well. Being MacGyver's younger brother, I dremeled out the permanent dividers that interfere with my large items and viola: the perfect case. Now kids, do not try this unless you are experienced with power tools (in hindsight maybe this could have been done with xacto knife, but that's not as cool). But I now have the most awesome solution to my dilemma. Check out the pictures - I've added a cable case (also purchased here on Amazon), and on the flip side, you'll notice another little black tackle box (that I also purchased here on Amazon, that has my medications and some toiletries ) that now fits perfectly in the bigger case. I now have everything I need for on-the-go and it's organized and not all jumbled together at the bottom of a backpack that was designed for textbooks (which are now all turning into fossils as I'm writing this). This case is very sturdy and now holds everything perfectly. I think it will last forever and I will love it forever.

This thing is a huge space and time saver! The quality is very good. The latch to lock each side is very secure. It has to be since you need to flip the entire thing over to access the other side. The modular design. Make this very flexible for a variety of needs. It functions as well as any other tool box I had ever used. I use this to organize my sockets (metric on one sized, imperial on the other). I made the individual compartments to fite Torx, allen heads, sockets (1/4" & 3/8"), impact fitting, you name it. Looking to get another one possibly, just wanting to see if there are different sizes available. I am very happy with this.

I was worried the cases would be cheap junk and that the dividers would fall out mixing all my screws and parts, but it’s fairly rugged and the dividers are solidly locked in. Great cases! I bought 4 more!
