Sturdy, well made, and works great - I've tested the PH side against strips periodically and it has been right on the money every time.I tend to overwater, so having the moisture feature is WONDERFUL - I have really backed off on watering until it tells me to, and my plants are MUCH happier for it!!And the light feature is great in the greenhouse - I know when my plants are getting what they need - couldn't be happier with it!

DOA. Maybe I just got unlucky and got a bad one....Edit: The seller promptly sent a replacement meter, which does seem to work properly. One star demerit for the initial DOA unit, but great customer service and speedy replacement.

Have many large and small outdoor potted plants and am never sure when or how often to water them, and I thought this item would take the guess work out watering. Three potted plumeria's that are easy to overwater died because this meter said they were moist, eventhough my other potted plants needed water. The plumeria's were mostly in the shade so I figured the meter was correct. They kept looking dry and dying fast, so I removed them. I checked the soil before removing them and the meter said "MOIST". Upon pulling them out, I dug around the soil and there was not one drop of moisture in the soil. I wll not rely on this meter for my watering, just stick to a watering schedule and hope for the best.

so im not completely sold on this thing because the PH and sun part of the meter barely move? the water one works fine though. i am using it on indoor plants so maybe theres not much light but you’d think the PH meter would move once in a while.

Only the moisture meter works. Both the light and pH meters did not work right out of the box. Very disappointing, as I purchased it for the pH meter. Anyone know of a good one?

Work well.Readings are accurate!Very convenient,no battery required.I can take it to measure any soil.I now know where the nearby soil is suitable for the plant.

Does what it supposed to, as advertised. I've only been using a short while - but the PH and moisture functions have been especially helpful. Will be a great tool for the long haul, if the probes last.

Moisture meter is dead wrong. Used on a citrus plant, and it always showed soil as 8-10 in moisture. Half the tree died out because I didn't want to overwater it, since that's a common listed concern. Took it to a nursery and the employee said the soil was bone dry and the tree was dying.Will just try to stick to a regular watering schedule, I guess. Fortunately the tree was not all the way dead before I threw this thing away.
