This scanner has been fantastic in helping me properly diagnose issues without just giving me a generic error code. The ability to be able to view and test each module for my 2009 BMW 535xi has already saved me several hundred dollars! Recently, I was getting misfires and random limp mode errors on my 535xi and typically a normal scanner would just provide misfire codes and nothing more, meaning it could literally be anything. So instead of just replacing coils, plugs, injectors etc... I was actually able to get into all related fuel and ignition modules which played a huge part in finding the fault. It turned out that my fuel pump module (EKP) was going bad and failed the built-in diagnostic test. I replaced the fuel pump module with another one and it began working without issues once again! Another very helpful feature is that it can give you specific information on what modules you have exactly. In the pic here, you can see that my fuel pump module has a part number of 7276383, which is helpful in ensuring that I ordered the correct part. Not only can it do that for the fuel pump module, but for each module itself, which is a big time and money saver when ordering parts. I'm glad I was able to find this scanner and can't wait to help out other friends with issues that they may be experiencing on their vehicles as well. It's worth every penny, because to get a scanner with all these features, you'd be paying well over $1,000! (Snap-on, etc...)

good obd2 scanner for bmw would say it’s the same as a bluetooth ancel; only difference is the bidirectional testing features

This is a must- have device if you drive a European car. I waited too long to get one but it has saved me a lot of time and money. I can reset my German cars schedule maintenance alerts after my own DIY oil changes and also clear fault codes after my own repairs in addition to diagnostic scans.

I really like this OBD2 scanner. It is bidirectional, and works great on my 2008 BMW 550i M-Sport. The scanner worked flawlessly, and it was able to assist with all sorts of things such as: BMW battery registration/reset, transmission learning reset, and of course general OBD2 diagnostics. I highly recommend this product to advanced mechanics as well as beginners enthusiasts. It's nice to see what's going on with your vehicle before asking for the dealership's opinion!

Not having used a OBDII scanner before, found using the CGSULIT SC530 BMW scanner to be easy, not only saved me untold money in repairs by not taking to dealer, this gave me confidence in doing my own repairs. Made understanding Cryptic CEL codes a breeze… Will highly recommend the CGSULIT SC530 scanner to everyone looking to take control of repairing their own vehicle.

Editing this review.After some time and leaving a bad review i did get a reply from customer service.They offered a refund after i was not able to do an update on the product.The inability to do the update was not their fault, that was on my end but i am satisfied with the end results.********give it negative stars for a rating if it would let me. I bought this to read codes on my mini and everytime I try to use it, it just freezes. It will not leave the frozen screen once it does it until I unplug it and start over. Sometimes I have to do this 4 or 5 times just to read codes. Using the live data function is useless for this same reason. If you can get it that far without freezing it will freeze within a minute of getting it going. And support, forget that. I've sent e mails to them and Amazon but no one will help. I'm stuck with this expensive piece of plastic!!!!!!!!

Was able to code my injector & clear some codes. Great for this price I’m impressed
