It says it's a standard 1/2 inch fit. The outer diameter of my feed pipe measures approximately 20 mm. Will this fit?

Yes, it will. British Standard Pipe (BSP) is the standard in plumbing and pipefitting in the UK. The standard thread size for shower connections is ½ inch BSP (also known as G1/2) to which our rain shower head fits without any issues

how do you remove the plastic stopper from the connector accessory?

The plastic stopper is simply screwed in. Hold it and turn it counter clockwise and it will come off

What is the flow rate of this shower head please?

The flow rate will depend on your water pressure and if you have an electric shower it would depend on how cold the water is. When you switch your shower between hot and cold it just regulates how fast the water flows past the element. In the summer the water coming into your house is warm so the control doesn’t need to be so high and the water runs through quicker so is more powerful than it will be in the winter when the control needs to be higher.

Does it work with an elecrtic shower?

It’s not impossible but not sure it would look very good - you would need to run a fixed pipe up the wall from the shower and out from the wall for this to connect to and unless you have decent pressure from your electric shower it would not be very effective.
