Just as advertised
Pricey for crayons but my kids love them

Great crayons!!
We have several Melissa and Doug Learning Mats. These crayons color pretty well on the mats, wash off really easily with soap and water, and are really durable. Our son is 4 and pushes pretty hard, breaking most crayons, but these are encased in plastic so it's much harder to break these crayons!! They also work with many other write on/wipe off surfaces making them even better!!

Easy Wipe Off Crayons
I purchased these crayons to go with the Melissa & Doug learning mats. I was surprised at how easily these crayons wiped off of the mats, a BIG plus!! The only thing is they don't stay in their holders that well. I would buy these again but I have found them in stores for $1.99, much less than I purchased them for here.

Not the best
PROS:-VEGETARIAN: Melissa and Doug crayons are supposed to be free of animal byproducts which is great if you don’t want to risk your kids ingesting a non-kosher animal. That’s why I got these.-EASY CLEAN UP: Cleaned up easily from skin, nails, clothes, carpet, and plastic table and chairs.-EXTRA BREAKAGE PROTECTION: I liked the protective plastic housing for the crayons, which would help some kids not to break the crayon. However my curious toddler took them out of the housing so he made a mess everywhere. With training these plastic things would work great!CONS:-POOR OVERALL DURABILITY: They are pretty waxy when trying to color and don’t seem to last long.-UGLY WAXY COLORING: The coloring itself isn’t the best. Seemed flaky and waxy, not very pretty. I tried to color darker and lighter with them but they are really not good crayons.OVERALL REVIEW: I don’t plan to purchase these again. I hope to try colored pencils or markers from M&D instead, which are also supposed to be vegetarian.

Crayon holders broken
Crayons fall easily out of the holders, are very small, and are a horrible design as they come out everytime my child picks up the crayon to write.

Easy for my son to use
My son is a year and a half. They are perfect for him, he can’t push them up so it saves the product. Lol. He liked them so far.

plastic place mat magic
These work great on her plastic place mats (not just Melissa & Doug brand). I hated the markers the mats came with because they just smeared off & made a mess. These crayons stay on the mat better but still easy to remove when you want to. Not great on coloring books which was fine with me.
