Navigation: A Very Short Introduction (Very Short Introductions)

I bought this book fro my brother, along with Dava Sobel's book "Longitude." My brother has enjoyed both books very much!

Very thin on actual information, missing key developments, tries to create some sort of socio-historical narrative (but does not succeed in doing so), while providing very little material on the topic of ancient or modern navigation.
