Nordic Ware Gingerbread House Duet Pan

I was hoping to love this and wasn't disappointed . We have just tried the recipe and yum. Cakes came out of pan easily. 1 recipe makes 4 cakes. I followed the directions exact to oiling and flouring the pan before adding batter. The flour made it look like snow. I'm eager to try other recipes and a cake recipe I make for gifts to see how they turn out. They pretty with out decorations honestly. Little drizzle of icing and powdered sugar and they beautiful. I may just have to buy the bigger house too! I was concerned for washing (bc no dishwasher) but i used a soft bottle brush and had no problems.

After getting the Gingerbread House, I decided to invest on the Cottages. "Nordic Ware Gingerbread House Duet Pan" are small, tiny little Cottages, each one holds under 2 -3/4 cups of Batter, that is if you fill it to the Top, you should only fill them no more than 3/4 full to avoid overflow. To get a better idea of their Size, they Measure 3-1/2 inches Deep, both of them and 4-1/2 inches by 5.2 one of them, the other is a bit smaller 4-1/2 by 4.7 The "Gingerbread House Duet Pan" is made of Heavy Cast Aluminum Construction in the USA with Non-Stick Coating. I made the Gingerbread Cake Recipe that comes on the back of the Cardboard Wrap and it works Fine I took my time with a little Brush and very soft Butter to get inside and brushed each and every area of the Bundt Pan, flour both Houses and Tap out any extra flour into the Sink, to make sure the Cakes will release without any Problems. After they were Baked I let the Pan with the Cakes Cool completely on Top of a Wire Rack. All the detail from the Bundt Pan was Perfectly Transferred onto both of the Cakes/Cottages. Both Cottage Cakes Make a Great Decorating Center Piece to put on Top of a Big Cake or Sheet Cake with many Decorating Possibilities. The Bundt Pan Sits Perfectly Fine when is Flipped Outside Down to hold the Batter, I was wondering about that, they do think of everything "Nordic Ware Bundt Pan" is Recommended not to be use in the Dishwasher, as it may shorten the Life of the Non-Stick Coating on your Pan. Metal Utensils, Scouring Pads and Abrasive Cleaners should not be used on Non-Stick Surfaces. I like to fill the Pan with warm water and let it Soaked for 30 minutes, that way it is much easier to Wash using a Mild Soap and Brush, I want the Pan to keep looking New for a Long time. I have a wonderful gingerbread/spice bread recipe. it baked up just perfect in this. I did not use spray I used the old fashion butter and the flavor amazing. I will play around with it. Maybe sugar on the butter of one house. I just don't know. I baked one for a neighbor as a and she ordered six. I will try a spiced pumpkin bread next for Thanksgiving. I love baking and this form has got me very excited. My family members who also bake will get a form and my best recipe for Christmas.What a neat gift. The loaf is a great size for 4 to 6 people but more you serve 2 loaves just sprinkle with powdered sugar, vanilla ice cream and whipped cream and you have the great desert. And this is a very reliable brand that will last forever.

Decided to try this as a replacement for gingerbread house kits-which I hate- and I was not disappointed! The cakes came out SO adorable and my kids loved decorating them. Best part is they were actually edible!!!!! Will be using these for years to come

Very easy compared to building cookie houses. I bought the pan that has two houses. I used two 14.5 oz packages of the Betty Crocker brand gingerbread cake mix to make three of the little cakes, baked at 325 degrees. I also used a pumpkin bread mix, but it stayed more gooey in the center, and I prefer the gingerbread flavor of the cake mix. This was much easier than trying to build gingerbread cookie houses with children, who really don’t have the patience to wait for an hour while the royal icing sets up to hold the structure together.

My sister enjoys decorating ginger bread houses each Christmas with her grandchildren. Now she is thrilled to be able to make her own houses for them to decorate.

You can’t go wrong with this adorable gingerbread cake form. I made lemon pound cake and had no issues with sticking.

Great little tin, easy to use, dishwasher safe and comes with a recipe, all my colleagues loved these so much they gestated before cutting into the cakes!

Mit dieser Backform, die zugebenermaßen einen recht stolzen Preis hat, hat man etwas Besonderes zu Hause. Ich backe in dieser Form keinen Kuchen, sondern gieße sie mit Beton aus. Die kleinen Betonhäuschen sind sehr gut gelungen und sehen sehr hübsch aus 😊👌.

Really good product. Would highly recomend. Go to the Nordicware website and follow the video instructions, and you will have no problems. One for baking, and on for cleaning. Rather than using a gingerbread recipe, we use a carrot cake mix - work well. Yearly tradition with our Granddaughters!!
