Bought as a gift.
This will be a gift for my son who lives in southeastern Alaska. Looks well made and I hope it will stand up to the rugged Alaska life & provide warmth.

Soft, woolly, and it fits!
I know a lot of people buy acrylic products as a "wool substitute" whether for price or animal rights. I don't feel most sheep are mistreated, and being sheered is no different than dog owners who have the fur on their dogs 'styled' and cut. And I hate the feel of acrylic. I will go out of my way to get cotton, linen, or wool products. Acrylic makes me itch. The initial smell of wool to me reminds me of where it came from: sheep. I honor their gift. It quickly disapates after a good airing and maybe a gentle wash. And a well-made wool product can be very soft and endure long past the demise of an acrylic product. It is also fire resistant - a big plus for the things my husband does where he can be exposed to open flame. This sweater has him smiling every time he wears it due to its fit and quality, not to mention how it feels. His acrylic sweaters are put to shame next to it. He is now also investing in wool socks, also due to what he does since he may be exposed to open water he has to enter. You see, he does Search & Rescue work, a volunteer. He has had to deal with burning cars when the missing is found, and flood waters to find or rescue someone who has ended up in that water. The sheep's gift is very deeply appreciated and my hope is that it came from a well treated sheep. I don't mean this as a dig to animal rights, but as an appreciation of the long history of using the wool of a sheep without harming it.

Small neck hole.
It's a really nice sweater. I am not sure if I will be able to wear it. The neck hole is amazingly small. I have a big head but a normal sized neck. This is so tight on my neck it is rubbing, not in a good way. Other then the neck it fits very well and is very warm. It shouldn't be difficult to upsize the collar. Dampen it, stretch it, let it dry. Stretch in small increments.

Excellent! I look forward to purchasing another!
This is a high quality sweater that looks and feels like it will last decades with proper care and maintenance. In jacket size I'm a 36-short and the small fit's me perfectly. It makes me wish the weather was colder more often.

Made in Ireland enough said!
Love this sweater, it is well made, extremely warm, and doesn't pile that much. It's hard to gauge the quality of yarn without knowing the yarn vendor, even as a apparel designer. These sweaters are well made and I am deciding what color to buy next! These are Unisex buy a size you feel comfortable in. I bought a small and usually wear women's small to medium depending on how rooming I want it to be.

I absolutely love it.
Review for 5'11", 185 lbs M: size "L" was a perfect fit. This is a heavy sweater- perfect for 50F rambles through the countryside with your loyal dog at your side. Maybe even too warm for inside, unless you happen to live in a thatched stone cottage off of the wild Atlantic coast. It's very comfortable, well built & looks fantastic.Bonus that it is made in Ireland.
