Excellent book for 10-12 year old. Positive life lesson

I am not a sports fan, which I wrongly thought this book would be about, but absolutely LOVED this story. It is about SO MUCH more than baseball. It is about life and living with our circumstances and overcoming obstacles and going after your dreams. It is about living the life you want, at any age! I have recommended this book to all my coworkers at the elementary school and to many of my students, including the entire 4th grade!

this is one of my favorite books in the universe. love it so much. i absolutely lo e sports and to me this is a book, not only about baseball but also courage.

I choose books for my elementary school's book room. These are the books our teachers use for book clubs and guided reading. This title would be a nice addition.

Bought for summer reading (6th grade) for my son, he loved it. It was his favorite of the 3 books he was required to read (chose from a pre-approved list). He even re-read it end of summer, because he liked it so much, always a good sign.

My eleven year old son is loving the book so far! He said the book is well rounded, a great mixture of highs and lows with humor. He enjoys updating me every time he reads a chapter.

Great for lovers of the game baseball, and a great book for those overcoming physical handicaps.

This is a fast moving story with a strong protagonist with whom middle grade students will identify. Reading it brings lots of smiles mixed with touches of indignation and true sentimentality. Enjoy!

Llego a tiempo. Es un libro muy recomendado para adolescentes. La historia esta muy padre y es inspiradora. Lo recomiendo.
