Miracle-Gro Handy Lawn Seed Spreader

Cheap effective handy piece of equipment. Use this for grass seed and grass feed. Can control the amount you spread. Comfortable when held correctly, makes spreading etc quick and easy, whilst getting even coverage. Does not feel cheap or flimsy, wish id gone to the hassle of getting one years ago, dont need to fork out on a battery powered one, this does the job just as well. Straight forward to use, fill it, set the flow, turn the handle and walk.

Grey it is easy to use and seems to give a good spread of fertiliser ...it's hard to see where it's spreading as it comes out pretty quick , I can hear it more than I can see it

Not much to say except it is small and works well. it has 5 settings which basically adjusts the size of the hopper opening as i was putting down new seed I used setting 5 as recommended I made a couple of passes to ensure good coverage but if you walk slower you could get it in one pass. Its not suitable if its windy as it will blow the seed everywhere unless you stoop down low. Its easy to use and can be used with lawn feed granules as well. It can suit on a shelf and doesn't take up much room.

For the price the quality is excellent. Have used it to spread a lawn feed and lawn seeds. Easy to use and spreads the seed at a good speed / distance.

Covers your lawn, but it also flings the seed and fertiliser all over your shoes, the seed doesn't drop through the hopper at a constant rate, and it makes your arm and back hurt when you eventually end up stooping down to re-cover the sparse patches from when the hopper didn't feed the mechanism properly. Good enough for a cheapo spreader but I'd be upset if I'd paid more for it.

Very useful, spreads over a wide area.

Does the job perfectly

Bad design, the seed and fertiliser kept getting stuck somehow and a lot of product will fall straight down. My cheaper spreader was doing a much better job.
