Excellent Dimmer for Apple HomeKit integratoinntegratoin
I have installed 4 of these Dimmers though out my home. I needed a Homekit enabled dimmer/switch and this one fit the bill. At first, I had a lot of trouble getting the Home app to recognize and install these dimmers. After much reading I found a youtube video on the best way to do this.1) Make sure Leviton's application is installed on your iPhone or iPad.2) Make sure your iPhone or iPad are using the same network you plan to install the dimmer on..i.e. 2.4GHz network with the same name.3) Power the dimmer. Make sure the green light is blinking quickly. (You can do a hard reset of the switch by holding the top part down for about 14 seconds, when the LED blinks Red/Yellow it has done a factory reset).4) Under Settings/Wi-Fi, let the phone find the Leviton dimmer and select it to join network. This might take a minute or so to join. The green light will blink slower. ( I've had to power down and up some of these to be recognized. You can do this with the power or just soft reset (top button held down for 7 seconds.)5) Once joined, open the Leviton application and select the add Accessory from the menu.6) Scan or enter the 8 digit code.7) The application will install the dimmer as well as make it accessible in the Apple Home application.8) Perform a Firmware Update is so prompted. About 90% of the switches needed the firmware update. For what it is worth, my Router is Linksys EA7500 though if I replace, I will be going with the Ubiquiti UniFi HD 802.11ac Wave 2 Enterprise Wi-Fi Access Point (UAP-AC-HD-US) simply because it is enterprise quality and can support 500 device connections. The dimmers have been rock steady in my house. I've cycled the power, cycled the router and have had no issues with the switch dropping off line or not reconnecting to the system. I have only been using them for 2 weeks, but have thrown a lot of power outages and router outages at them to verify no issues. The newest firmware seems to have solved the earlier problem with these dimmers. They are very fast (instantaneous in fact) when controlling the dimmer from the Apple Home Application. Siri takes a little longer since it has a round trip from your home to Apple's server and back.It is really cool to setup Automations so when we arrive home late, the Homekit will sense the presence of our phones and turn on the appropriate lights. Also setup several scenes to turn on all lights and turn the fans and lights off for sleep.I was an Automation Engineer in my later career as an EE. Very involved Transmission, Distribution, and Substation automation when the Home Automation was the big thing in the mid-2000's. I said then the technology was not there. Now fast forward to 2019 (15 years later) and we are there and it is getting better.

Works Great!!! Just not right away... (SEE UPDATE)
Update!1/28/19NEVER STOPPED WORKING SINCE!!!100.00% reccomend this product!Long story short, here’s the problem with this HomeKit Dimmer. If you get one that has an outdated firmware version (like I did). Getting it to update and work with HomeKit properly is rather annoying and takes lots of patience. My unit works great now that it is on the latest firmware, but like I hinted at before, getting this dimmer paired successfully with HomeKit and successfully getting it to update the first time is a big hassle. This is all due to a bug with other firmware versions of the dimmer that caused it to not stay connected to your iOS devices. For example, you would be setting up the dimmer for the first time and it would pair after 10 time-invested previous attempts to get passed the "Adding accessory..." screen and It would finally be added to the Home app. Great! Right?... Not quite, you would be getting super excited about it and then the next thing you know, you are greeted with the dreaded words..... "NO RESPONSE". So, you reset power to the dimmer... same result. You un-pair and re-pair the dimmer.... "Adding Accessory............." Then you reset the unit to factory settings... *10 minutes later* It finally connected again and is working like it should for the first time! YAY! So, you get a notification that a firmware update is available. Naturally you click it and install it, easy! Right?... (Once again) No! it says unable to connect to accessory. So, you try again (20 more times) and you FINALLY see a loading bar! a minute or two later the update is installed and you no longer see any warnings or errors. And you can fully control the unit both manually and from the Home App. All is good! Right?... YES, Finally, YES! (at least for now)So, in a serious conclusion, should you buy this dimmer/switch?Well, if you understand basic wiring and electrical safety (or are willing to teach yourself) and can deal with an hour or more of potential troubleshooting. then, for it's low cost go for it! It is a nice dimmer overall and besides the fact that they still ship faulty software versions (at time of posting this review) It's really quite nice! On the wiring side of things, it's not very complex compared to a standard dimmer or switch. Because other than the neutral wire being needed for the install there is nothing different. Anyways, If troubleshooting isn't your thing then there are definitely other great options but they are more expensive. One final note:What's included in the box:* 1x Dimmer/Switch Unit with standard white faceplate* 1x Almond faceplate* 1x Manuals in 3 languages* 2x HomeKit code stickers (removable)* 1x Tech Support/Satisfaction Guarantee info sheet.*Faceplate not included!!! - any dimmer faceplate will work.
