Amazing Value
This lense is an amazing value! Very compact, albeit heavy, and controls feel firm and quality. This thing has some insane bokeh and excels in low light situations. It is my go-to manual lens for video. You will absolutely need an ND filter on this lens. I use a variable 2-5 ND most of the time but bright daylight will need more.

Great value
I have three Vision series lenses in different focal lengths. I wish they made more. Solid build.

Good value for money
Let’s start out by saying this lens fits e-mounts. I’m using it with a A7s III and the lens mounted with no issue. Just make sure if you use it with a full frame to set the camera to s35 otherwise you will get very noticeable vignetting. The color, and sharpness is very good. The focus, and aperture ring is smooth, but I recommend using a wireless focus system, or manual follow focus as the rings move very easy.

Great lens.
This 35mm completes my set of the 7Artisans Vision APS-C lenses, already having the 12 & 50. I might get the 25mm at some point, but really these three are all you really need. It had its test of fire shooting fight scenes for my new film, and it performed great. The wide aperture really came in handy as we couldn’t bring in too much lighting into the location—but even wide open I found the focal plane was wide enough I could pull focus myself even while shooting handheld. It’s sturdy and has a good weight that along with the V-mount battery balances the camera rig very well.

Housing is falling apart.
When I first got this lens I instantly fell in love. But the more I started using it the more frustrated I became. The housing for the lens was coming apart. Focusing is nearly impossible now. I tried to contact customer support but I still haven’t received a follow up. I really like this lens at first. Not sure if everyone has had this problem but it disappointed me a lot.

Great lens, I used it on my FX3 Full frame the imperfections and colour shift and slight softness give video the film look. It feels well built and solid, the focus ring dampening is also great. feels like a tank in your hand. This was my first manual focus "cine lens" although not a true cine lens. It does have focus breathing but honestly that a minor issue, how often are you racking focus, Im sure that we, as filmmakers will notice it but ask yourself, does the viewer even notice? Using it on FF has some issues on the edge of the frame but overall still workable, It truly shines on APSC. I did a detailed review of this on my YouTube channel and countless people have proceeded to purchase it because they loved the look. You will need an ND filter to block out the bright light on sunny days with this lens. Overall for the price point its a great entry into filming with a fully manual lens.
