Great product
I bought this keyboard for my home office for the days I work from home. I needed the smart card functionality for my access to my work account. This keyboard is easy to connect to my laptop and the keys have that oh-so-perfect feel (iykyk). I caught it on sale, so great price point. Would buy again

Good keyboard, effective card-reader.
Works for my need which is to use with a smart-card. Full-size keys. The card reader works perfectly. The only downside is higher "finger pressure" than I'm used to. Sometimes I see a letter didn't get entered and I have to go back and add it in.

Good keyboard and lower price than Dell itself.
This is a much sturdier keyboard than what came with my Dell computer. I purchased it because individual letters were beginning to fail on the old keyboard. I have no need for the "smart card" feature as this is for my home computer, so I can't vouch for its function. I do like the larger and more "traditional" keys over the low-profile keys that were on my previous keyboard. This same keyboard sells for about ten dollars more at the Dell website.

THIS one works
When I get a new Dell PC I use my old Dell keyboard and save the new one for later. This is because I know that the card reader will eventually wear out in all Dell keyboards, and it's important to get as much use out of them as possible. So the reader in my old keyboard, which was the same as this one, finally wore out and I happily switched in the newer one, though the new one seemed cheaper and the layout was not as nice. Then I noticed that at least three keys on the thing simply didn't work. In a brand new keyboard. Thanks for nothing Dell. Anyway I bought this one, the old style keyboard, and it all works fine. I think I'll stick with this model in the future.

Excellent professional keyboard
This is the same keyboard that I see in the offices at the Veterans Administration hospital where I see some of my doctors. It's designed for use in a professional environment. I wasn't sure if it would work without a smart card, but it does. It includes a CD with drivers, which I assume would be needed to install it in a situation that utilizes the smart card feature. I don't need that -- I bought it to replace the cheap "chiclet" (membrane) keyboard that came with my newer Dell computer. This keyboard appears to have mechanical keyswitches for the keys. I is quiet but it provides an excellent, tactile typing experience. Much, much better than the chiclet-style keyboards.
