Q: Does the blue Goddess drum have a chemical smell and would the design look nice enough to hang on the wall for decoration?

I didn't notice any chemical smell when I unpacked it after it first arrived. My wife uses it as a therapeutic aid at the school where she works and when I was there today I didn't detect any chemical smell from it. The design reflects authentic cultural motifs and hangs on the wall in the classroom when it's not being used. The kids love it, and sometimes compete to be the one who uses it to welcome their friends to school every day.
