good device at a good price
It works both for my standard walls (5/8 drywall over 2x4's) and the deep scan works on my extra thick walls (1/2" fiber board+ 5/8drywall + 2x1/2" drywall. If you read the directions and understand how the device works (it's detecting a change in density behind the wall), then you probably won't go wrong.I'm guessing the guts of this is the same as the e55 model, which overall gets better reviews.

Easy to use, does a great job
This was a very good, very simple product- great for someone who just needed to find studs. I am no builder, but this device makes stud-finding wonderfully easy, even for novices like me.

Works fine.
This works fine. It was able to find metal studs buried under 1.5" of drywall. Stud finding is not an exact science, so its important to take multiple readings.I wasn't convinced that it was able to find electrical wires, as I ran it right near my light switches and it didn't go off.

Cheap
I bought this for my husband since he did not have one and the old fashioned way of knocking on walls and guessing wasn't panning out. Unfortunately this thing has caused us more of a headache. It is correct about 50% of the time and you end up having to tap the walls anyways just to pinpoint the stud. I would probably buy something a little more expensive next time just to assure quality.

Best stud finder
I’ve been looking for a stud finder for awhile that actually did the job. I’ve gone through a lot and none of them ever give me confidence that it actual found the stud. Many times the stud was not where it said it was. This product takes away second guessing. I tried a friends before I bought this and immediately fell in love. Lol yes with a stud finder. I couldn’t wait to buy mine and I use it multiple times a week while remodeling my house. It’s never been wrong. Must buy.

Good for the price
This tem arrived quicker then it said it would. I bought this for $15 including shipping. Then I went to Walmart and saw the same thing for only $10. It works as described. A little moody on rare occasions but it works well enough to do its job. Requires a 9 volt battery, (not included).
