Works for the Ford Excursion
Perfect fit for my 2005 Ford Excursion with the rear DVD entertainment system. Main stereo harness included appears to be a metra 70-1771 did not require any pin out modifications and cable colors matched my Boss head unit harness exactly. The DVD Entertainment pin out requires some modifications but you won't need to buy additional connectors or wires. Look it up on YT.

Works great in my 2000 Mountaineer Premier 5.0
Worked PERFECT in a 2000 Mountaineer Premier 5.0 with the Mach Audio and Subwoofer! Used it with a Sony XAV 1500 and retained the factory sub!

Factory Amp connection issues
This is a very nice unit and made the majority of the installation very simple. The only vague area is the Amp Blue and Black cables on the small Sub connector. You will only need to connect one pair if you only have one sub, the same line as the white sub connection. I connected the black cable to the black pair for the ground, for the blue cable I connected it to the yellow ignition power cable pair, this is working nicely and seems to push more power to the Amp than the stock radio power supply.

Needs to be modified to work correctly
This wire harness was spec'd for my vehicle. I double checked it at two different websites before ordering it. The bag also listed my specific vehicle. This wiring harness does not work correctly for two reasons; the wire for the headlights-on was wrong and it does not account for speed sensor signal wires used by GPS head units. Many cars with old audio units send dimmable power to the head units to power the lights on the head unit. New head units do not want dimmable power. They need a solid 12 volts to be able to tell if the headlights are on or off. They use this to dim displays themselves when it is dark outside. Thus, I needed to hack the harness to route a new cable into the harness that was a full 12 volts when the headlights came on. The second problem is with GPS enabled head units on older cars without gps head units. The new head units need a wire from the speed sensor so the gps will be accurate. Nobody knows where these wires are! This wire harness did not have a wire for it; however, the original harness in the car did have the wire. My original head unit used the signal to turn the volume down when the car slowed down. Yet, this wire harness did not have a wire for that position. Again, I needed to hack into the harness to move an unused wire to pick up that signal. The manufacturer needs to account for these issues. My vehicle was clearly listed on the bag. It should have worked, or at the very least, it should have told me to run a headlight wire. However, they really should have had a wire for that speed sensor wire. It would have saved me HOURS of research. If I did not have access to the original wiring diagram for the vehicle, I never would have figured it out and the GPS would not have been accurate. Many internet posts said to run the head unit without it. Even the support person for the manufacturer of the head unit said to run it without it. However, some people posted that the GPS was inaccurate without it. After two hacks, the wiring works fine.

Worked for a 99 Mercury Mountaineer
All I can say is thank goodness I found this! You can find the main harness all day long no problem. The problem is the harness for the factory sub if your vehicle has it. Mine does and I looked and looked and finally found this. On Amazon they say it won’t work for the model Mercury I have but rest assured it does as long as you have the upgraded Mach Audio system from the factory. The paperwork it came with will tell you that it fits the Mercury so Amazon needs to address this. I’m so happy I found this harness and happy to have my sub working again with my aftermarket JVC stereo. Perfect 5 stars!!

Saved the day
Perfect for my 1998 Ford Explorer - Eddie Bauer edition. What a relief too as when I looked up the speaker wiring schematic it was for the colors as found in the passenger kick panel, they transitioned to other color cables by the time they reached the dash and I was clueless as to what wires to use until this fit perfect and provided standardized wiring colors/labels. The copper quality was better than that on the stereo harness and this had nicely pre-cut the sleeve one centimeter from the end so that they are easy to terminate. Very happy with this product.

Super produit. J'ai pas eu besoin d'un des connecteur, celui à un seul fil. Cela serait bien d'avoir une copie papier à l'intérieur du sac car il était en parti illisible(frottement)
