Wow! This made a huge difference in cleaning my silver!! So easy & so fast -- unless a piece was superduper tarnished (like, almost black), it's simply a matter of spray it on, let it sit for a few seconds, then wash the piece. The silver dip is no joke. It’s gets the job done fast. I put this in a 5 gallon bucket with a lid. The stuff has a strong smell, wear a mask or use it outside. Wear non latex gloves. Don't mix anything into the dip, it’s ready to go right out of the jug. Just dip your silver pieces right in. Dip for about 20 seconds or so, then wash with soap and water rinse VERY VERY well! Make sure your silver is dry, buff with a cloth then evaluate if you need to dip your piece again. We had a lot of pieces that had quite a bit of tarnish that needed to be dipped twice, but I was very impressed with how quickly the dip works. Even some pieces that looked black, and I was convinced I’d be buffing for a hour were silver again in 15-20 seconds. I was shocked. Don’t over do it. You have to Pay attention with this stuff, it is potent and does the job. Hear me. This is NOT a set it in and come back to it later after your show is over kind of dip, you need to sit and watch it. This is a great product, but it will take the finish off of something that’s been left in it too long. So pay attention.

I have been collecting silver pieces throughout many duty stations through the years, at antique and thrift stores. Most couldn't tell it was silver, so discolored. I bought this Goddard’s Silver Cleaner Dip in the small size, thinking that if it didn't work, I hadn't made a huge investment. I poured the silver cleaner into a glass and placed some seriously tarnished ice tongs in the glass. Within moments, the side of the Goddard's Silver Cleaner began to shine. I followed the directions, washed with soap and water, then dried. Incredibl!!! I saved what we didn't use and ordered more to have on hand. Then, I purchased another gallon to have on hand—the only downside. My 5- and 6-year-old granddaughters said, “Nanny, that stuff smells like poop.” They were not wrong. My husband agreed. So they all went outside. My friend and I knocked out silver that would have taken 3-4 hours in less than 2 hours. Maybe less, we kept showing my husband because we were so amazed.
