Our original equipment step (just one level) gave us an 11" drop from the RV. Building codes don't seem to apply to RVs. Climbing in wasn't so bad but we were a little nervous that someone might slip coming out, so we looked for a better way. We have a Lippert chassis, so replacing the old one-step version with a Lippert two-step version seemed reasonable. Others have noted that there is a small gap (side to side) that needs to be filled with shims and that turned out to be the case. A few stainless washers used as shims on each side cured that problem. With RVs, I guess there is no One-size-fits-all. If we had mounted the steps as they came, ground clearance would have been a problem and we would have still had about a 9" drop from the RV. The side supports are pretty stout stuff, but I was able to cut out a 3 x 4" notch from each side with a Sawzall with a metal blade. It went really well and the result is a big improvement. Drop is now 7" and the steps are very sturdy. Another improvement is the ease of pulling the steps out. The new steps use a different design. Deploying the two is much easier than the original single step.

I used these to retrofit my 1998 Winnie when the power steps quit working ! My wife and I like these so much better . Sturdy , nice step size , and super easy to pull out and put away . We could not be happier .

Replacement single step on Jayco feather light. This double step was exact fit replacement. installation was under 15 minutes removed old install new. Well made better than OEM easy to fold and unfold I applied little lithium grease to slides. Only negative is leverage the bottom step flexes quiet a bit when I step on it but weight limit is 300 lbs and I am 6'3 230 lbs so I am pushing max limit. I carry a 5" tall brick placing under step on ground once folded down firm's up no more flex. Most likely will attach some folding ground support later. Looks like there may be leg option since last step has 2 holes with rubber plug possible mount point for leg accessories. Also was warehouse deal must have been returned $70 or $150 new took chance $70 nothing that bad to pay 80 buck more for new. People really need to stop returning so much getting out of control be more informed about purchase be thoughtful not so wasteful contact seller if not sure Amazon just makes small businesses selling these items take the loss on returns all these returned items are hurting everyone even you.

Our new camper came with a one step, extremly high step the new two step makes it really nice to get up and down , this was a challenge to install , but all the tips from others helped. no doubt a very good product and a fair price.

Works good on my 2025 Coleman 17R. I wish it had a couple inches MORE space from the ground, and a couple inches LESS going inside the trailer. But it is a universal fit. Trailers that sit a couple inches higher than mine, would be perfect.

I did purchase and did return before installing.. Why? I have a 2020 Little Guy Max travel trailer. The vertical bolts holding the stairs are 4" apart on the left and right. It was tough to surmise how far apart they are on the Lippert from the technical info and images shared on Amazon, as well as the Lippert corporate site (odd). I did not want to drill these stairs and choose instead to return. Looking back - I also think I would have gotten aluminum steps for a few bucks more to better match OEM (which is on me). Lastly, there is a postage fee ($30 in the end) to return which caught me by surprise. Overall - no comment on the quality - 3 stars as I wish better information/specifications were shared.. Other models have more holes to allow more flexibility to match the bolt pattern of various campers.

Great Deal , replaced the original step , having two steps is better than one need tools and be able to lift and pull old on one off ,thank you for like new it still worked like new only $20.00 cheaper , THANK YOU AMZ!

I had minor adjustments to fit my camper but still a breeze to install. Looks great and perfect size. I'm a heavy guy and it's very built very solid.

Unfortunately had to return because on my snowmobile trailer the wheel was installed in line with the door opening and was only 9" from the wall You need a couple feet clear for the step The step appears to be well made.

Got these to replace damaged originals .as these are for front bed room we opted to replace with what was original east install they do not come with hardware !! Was a bit pricy in my opinion but still way cheaper than rv dealers insane price !

In my case it wasn’t a simple install as the front bolts from the old 1 step matched-up but I hand to drill holes for the rear bolts (not a big deal). Also my old step bracket was 25” and the new was slightly bigger but was able to use a floor jack and push into place. The stairs work and look great now they are installed. Very happy. They are well built and seem very strong. Just be aware that it may not be a simple swap project

This did not fit our Lexington Motorhome. We cannot return as we could not get a professional install until July and the return window closed 2 weeks prior. No help from Manufacturer and now are stuck with a useless ( to us) set of stairs. The modifications that would be required to make it fit were astronomical and as the professional pointed out were extreme. Be wary when ordering these stairs!
