Nice but no fighter direction
This was the first of the “Technic” line that we’ve bought. My kid liked it, it took him a couple of hours to build by himself but he just turned six. He also has been playing with it for even longer than it took to build. But we were disappointed that it only had stunt plane directions, and not directions like the fighter plane pictured on the box. To me, the best thing about Lego is that it’s not on screens, I don’t want to look up Internet directions.

Too hard, too many small pieces, not a great set
I’ve built 15 to 20 Lego sets with my son and this is my least favorite. There’s a lot of small pieces that go together in a very specific way, where if they don’t, it doesn’t assemble properly. I’m pretty sure we follow the directions, and even then I had to go back and remove some pieces to get things to fit. It’s too technical is set to be rated 7+. I sincerely doubt that any seven year old is going to build this correctly without adult supervision. Overall, there’s better options within Lego.

Easy for Grandson who is 10 to assemble.
Grandson said instructions were easy to figure out. Did not ask for help. He is excited to display this in his room. Great gift for a.birthday or holiday.

Top design, quality and versatility. Check out YouTube for alternative builds of this thing. Its original designer has shared over 30 different variants you can build with this set which is mind-blowing. Hard to find more playability for your money than this!
