I am an experienced DIYer. I used this quick connect and its male counterpart to install an outside LP fire pit. The fire pit is portable so it will be stored inside during the winter months. Thus, the use of a quick connect male and female. DO NOT do a combustible gas install if you unsure about how to proceed properly. In many communities, a licensed plumber is required to perform this install... Durability cannot be assessed at this time as this project was just completed.

👍🤩This is a little larger than the Blackstone Gas Conversion Kit. We have this going to a NexGrill 6 burner with Sear burner, it is a true 1/2" Connector. 🍗🍖🥩

The quick disconnect dimension in the illustration for the product is wrong. It shows 5/8 inch. It should be 25/32 inch (a little over 3/4 inch). A 5/8 inch dimension is for a 3/8 inch fitting. The part seems to be well made.

It's 3/4" not 1/2". I contacted Dozyant through Amazon with and got no answer.

It works very well to connect flexible natural gas hose to backup generator. Easy to operate with one hand.
