Great product, works well.
This works great! I always had to use a broom from the garage to get things up front in my tonneau covered bed, which only worked somewhat well and only if I was home. Comes with a mounting plate if you have a plastic/composite bed, or has built in magnets for standard steel beds.

Great tool to save you time & effort!
Got this for my truck and both of my brother's trucks. Very handy to use and saves having to climb up into the bed to retrieve items! Nicely done!

Must have for truck owners, Solid, accessable, love the magnets
This retrieval tool is impressive especially since I have a tonneau cover on my truck. I had one other retrieval tool and it just bounced around in my truck bed then I couldn't reach it when I needed it. This one magnetizes to my truck. It fits on the inside of my truck bed in an upright position under my tonneau cover. I like the fact that it retracts to 20 inches and expands to 4 feet. The square tubing feels solid, but light in weight when extended to 4 feet. The bracket with the self drilling screws make it so easy to attach to my truck and the magnets are strong. I had a few nails fall out of a box in my truck bed and just turned it around and used the magnets to grab them. Awesome!! I no longer care if things slide all the way to the cab of my truck. I no longer have to crawl in after them. I pulled out a full ice chest that easily weighed 80 pounds no problem. We have used it for other simple purposes like under our bed and getting things out of the rafters. This is a great tool. Highly recommend this tool!!!

Works good.
I like it, it works as described and the magnets hold it nicely in the bed of my truck. I wish that the clamping was a little stronger so that I could 'push' things into the truck bed, but you have to be very careful when doing this because the clamping is not so good in that direction. It can be done, but you have to be careful and I can see that if something is very heavy it might not work every time. But pulling is great and it feel very solid.

Love this thoughtfully designed Bed Buddy!
Perfect for reaching hard to reach objects in a pickup bed that need to be pulled to the rear of the vehicle. Folds up to a short length so it is easy to stow. Needs stronger magnets however that are used to hold it in place if you want to store it in the bed. It comes with a metal storage bracket that magnets hold it in place with if needed.

Magnets hold through spray-in bedliner on 2024 GMC Canyon
This little bar has been well worth the price and I can't imagine not having it now. Somewhat surprisingly, the magnets are strong enough to hold the bar to the side of the bed in my 2024 GMC Canyon even through the spray-in bedliner. I'm sure it might bounce off if I did serious high-speed offroading, but it has stuck there just fine for several weeks of normal paved, dirt, and light offroad driving. Note that the bar is designed to pull but not push. The clamps that hold the bar sections in their extended positions are just friction clamps. The structure of the bar mechanically limits the sections from being pulled apart but only the friction from the clamps keep the bar sections from sliding back to their collapsed positions. That means that you can push lighter things away from the tailgate toward the bulkhead in the bed of the truck but the bar will collapse if you try to push anything heavy. This isn't a problem for me, as I don't need it for pushing heavy things and it was easy to see the design of the bar before I purchased it. You can pull very heavy things toward the tailgate, even with a rough texture bedliner like the spray-in bedliner in my truck. That's what it's designed for and it works very well for that. It does extend out to a full five feet, but since my truck only has a 5'2" bed I haven't need to extend that last little section with the detent button to reach everything. Just sliding extending the larger sections with the clamps has been plenty. You can also slide that last section all the way out by pressing the detent button again so that you can turn the right angle hook part the opposite direction so it faces up if you want to stick it to the other side of your truck bed. The only potential issue that I can see may eventually happen is the adhesive pads sticking the magnets to the bar may weaken or slide a bit if the temps get really hot, like under a black tonneau cover in the middle of summer. We're in mid-July in the Pacific Northwest now, and one of the pads may have moved a tiny bit so far. This isn't a real issue for me so far so I'm not taking away a star for it, but if you're in very hot regions it could be an issue for you.

Great idea!
If you own a pickup truck, You need one of these. This is a great idea and it works great, folds up and sticks to the side of the bed for easy access.
