I actually forgot that I ordered this, this mat has come in very handy working on small precision models that have lots of small parts. Things typically don't roll around to much and screws and nuts can be placed in the small square depressed areas so they can be kept in order. This mat is also easily cleaned with dish soap and warm water.

It's a great product. It's not super big but easily capable of holding any phone, tablet, or laptop. I've touched a soldering iron directly to it and it shows no signs of being burnt. I do cut a lot of stuff on it and I've noticed the cuts went almost all the way through the mat. It's not designed for cutting and doesn't advertise cutting resistance so I'm not too upset. All around a great, solid product and at it's price it's honestly the best value. I definitely recommend this product to anyone needing a place to work on electronics.

Don't think twice. Just buy it. This 13 3/4" X 9 3/4" pad is perfect for my use. No slip, heat resistant; with nice cavities for parts. Roll up to store (rolls up about the diameter of a baseball. May be able to roll tighter. Does not stay rolled without loose fitting rubber band or the like)Not a lot to say. Can't think of a downside to this product. It's a pad and is perfect.

The mat is a very nice size. I don’t have to worry about accidentally burning my desk now. I like the light blue color. It makes it very easy to see any small screw or anything on the surface. My only complaint is that mine had a few small bubbles in the silicone. It doesn’t affect the performance, but they do look unattractive. I was also happy that the mat didn’t have a smell. Sometimes silicone can be smelly, but I just gave this a quick hand wash and it’s fine.UPDATE: Five years on and I still use this mat. It’s still in great shape and it also works amazingly well as a pad for using a hot glue gun. The glue doesn’t stick to it at all.

Works great, no complaints

I tried to burn it with my soldering iron but I couldn't! I made passes at it. Nothing. I tried holding it on one spot nothing. Really nice and good texture makes it stick where I lay it the little circle in the corner is perfect for the stand to my soldering iron. It's like it was built specifically for my tool accessory. Love it would recommend. If I did more than what I do, which is dabble here and there, I would have bought the large size. Solid investment. Would recommend.

I actually bought this for my relative/roommate who has been kind enough to let me stay with him until I find a new place, as a thank you gift. He plans on using it soon to repair and/or upgrade several Apple products (several iPhones, iPads, MacBooks) soon now that his surgery recovery has improved. Upon inspection he said, in his words, that it appears to be well conceived, designed, and constructed. Also, he says that it really looks ergonomic which will be a big help. So, according to Mr. Expert, it's great! :-)

I have been holding off on buying one of these mats for a while. I don't know why I waited so long as this thing is perfect! All of the screw holes are numbered, and there are plenty of small compartments to hold miscellaneous parts removed while repairing phones, tablets, etc. The product came packaged in a medium sized box, and was not rolled up while shipping meaning that you could use it right away. Overall, a great accessory to add to your repair bench. I am going to purchase a larger one for larger electronics.
