I added a K&N cabin filter and wanted to test air flow speed and temperature coming out of the vents. It worked great for what I needed.

This handheld device is very accurate when i compare its readings against my Sainlogic pro weather station. it jus doesnt t have all the extra features of more expensive models which i do not need in a handheld in the field when out weathering spotting for NWS skywarn

Well. It was dead on arrival. Subtract points for that. The battery was good, so I bent the contacts. I think a lot of people would ha broke it trying to do. Plus we are very tech saavy and know how to do that. The unit is very small, which in our case is perfect. It will not read below 2 mph, 3 km/hour. If you want super low reading you need something else. I have weather stations here so I can verify it was in the ball park at the low end. Has soft bounce shield that peels off. The instructions are fine, but say nothing about installing the battery. The battery compartment is under the bounce cover. This is not a lab instrument, but it will work fine to get a good idea.

I got this to measure airflow from my car's climate control system. My car was at the mileage where the manufacturer recommended changing the cabin air filter. However, in my car this filter is hard to get to, you have to remove the glove box, which is tricky. I don't use the climate control much since I have an EV and it reduces range, so I doubted the cabin filter is dirty enough to reduce airflow. When the filter is actually dirty I'll see a drop in maximum airflow from the vents, and I'll know it's time to replace the filter. This windspeed meter worked well for this. Instructions were clear and it's easy to operate.

I really love the size and functionality of this item. I recently was comparing a few fans to see which was the most powerful, and this tool worked great for that. It has a max speed read out and you can change it to average wind speed. You can even change from “mph” to knots if you would like.Overall it is easy to use, and seems to be accurate.

This is a very handy little gadget. It seems to be accurate and is easy to use.

This seemed to work fine though it went through the watch style batteries very quickly. Then after about six months it died completely. Yes it's cheap but too cheap.

Pros: Fairly simple to program / set up and to use. I purchased to measure airflow in different AC vents in the house. Seemed to work well. No other tool to measure so I am unable to verify speed at this time but was good to compare between vents.Con: instructions show the backlight will stay in for 12 seconds. First, it needs to be longer to allow time to watch, monitor, and read the display. Second, I timed mine and it only stays on for just over 9 seconds. Way too short of a time span. I realize they are trying to save battery usage, but they need to make this time longer (30 seconds) or make it an adjustable setting.Over all happy with the purchase but would probably look harder at other options if I had to purchase again
