I feel it working
I feel more energy. my vitamin D is low so in February when I get lab work done I'll see if it really shows in my numbers. Fingers crossed.Update: 2/21/25 my Vitamin D level has increased within a normal range after 1 month of use. I highly recommend this product and will continue buying it

My doctor prescribed me to take the Vitamin D3 5000 IU supplement daily. IU means International Unit and the actual value of each IU depends upon the type of vitamin. For Vitamin D 1 microgram of Vitamin D is equal to 40IU.These are softgel capsules. They look like normal gelatin based softgels and are golden yellow in appearance.WHAT IS VITAMIN DIn the early 20th century scientists were trying to find a vaccine/cure for rickets. Cod liver oil was found to prevent rocket and it was assumed that Vitamin A (in the cod liver oil) was responsible for curing rickets. However, upon further research it was found that cod liver oil was able to cure rickets even if the Vitamin A was removed from the cod liver oil. It was then realized that the substance responsible for curing rickets was different than Vitamin A and it was named as Vitamin D (since this was fourth vitamin to be discovered.) Vitamins were given generic names (A,B,C,D) because the exact chemical composition names of these vitamins were not known. thus they were given generic names.Vitamin D helps the body to absorb calcium, magnesium, and phosphate. I was Vitamin D deficiency. So I showed this to my doctor and he said yes try those. Those should be good. It was a decent price so probably will buy again when I run out. I cannot taste them because I swallow them quickly and they’re easy to swallow.

I have been taking two D3 soft gels daily for 4 months; yes that's 10,000 I.U. My doctor prescribed 2,000 I.U per day to address low vitamin D levels. He underestimated the dosage by following standard practice.I could not be happier with the actual results at this time. The FDA's minimum vitamin dosages are intended to prevent severe illnesses, and known disease symptoms, rather than to promote optimal health. I want optimal health, as such, their recommendations are taken with the understanding that the FDA is more aligned with the pharmaceutical industry's goals than the health of the people that are supposed to protect.I had been suffering with chronic pain in my left knee joint for years. Now, my bone density seems to be repairing itself naturally, ligaments have rapidly improved, and inflammation is gone. These healing responses were also coupled with two chiropractic adjustments about 30 days apart. My issue(s) persisted; finally diagnosed and treated without drugs or knee surgery. Doctors may continue to underestimate D3 dosages needed to heal bone loss, and are prone to misdiagnose the root cause of these symptoms as arthritic degeneration. Neck, back pain and carpal tunnel are also associated with the same causes; I expect they will slowly be relieved by D3; however you need a vitamin D test to pinpoint the issues.I am getting to sleep more rapidly, as the level of D3 is also associated with melatonin production. D3 supports Calcium uptake into bone.
