This product seems pretty sturdy at the base and appears it would be long lasting. However the manner the components fit together is very haphazard, leaving these pieces to fall apart constantly.It doesn't travel well, due the light filters and mirror slipping apart constantly. When these pieces fall apart, it also leaves the light bulb exposed and open for damage.After replacing the bulb a couple times for the above reason, I tried to use scotch tape to secure the round plastic light filter over the bulb. That seemed to help keep the bulb from cracking during travel (although the light was no longer as bright due to the tape). The mirror continued to slide around the base needing constant readjustment. One morning, after believing it was secure, I stepped aside to brush my hair and the mirror fell onto the floor cracking to pieces. Very disappointed by this product.

I have been thinking about getting a magnifying mirror for some time. I am 64 and wear contacts most of the time, but when I don't, I have a hard time putting my make up on. I looked at a lot of mirrors that were much more expensive than this one, but I'm so very glad I settled on this mirror. The light shines on your face but not in your eyes. It is lightweight and can be used for travel (haven't used it for that yet). Even my husband has used this mirror. I have been able to see things that I couldn't without it-mostly facial hair that needed to be removed. I would give it 10 stars if I could.

Love the floxite product. I have several and gave several as gifts. Long lasting, quality and exactly what I need. I did not give 5 stars because the last mirror I had, the cord broke and it could not be replaced. I purchased the unit that you could use with battery and/or cord. The cord connection was thin and the mirror would go on and off with slight movement. It was not as good as the unit with the regular plug. My first mirror lasted so long I just bought a new one for the heck of it!

I gave the Floxite compact as a gift and it was well received. It does exactly what it is intended to do. Its three mirrors, two of which fold out, its magnification, its LED lighting, its robustness, and its usability make it an excellent product.The problem is that when the compact arrived, its exterior was dirty and the mirrors were dusty. It was easy enough to clean (a few small spots were not removable) but its appearance gave me an uneasy feeling that it might have been used. It did not have the look of a brand new product. I almost returned it, but I was able to clean it well enough so that it looked new and I did not have enough time to obtain a replacement. The product appears to have been manufactured in China by Rialto Mirror company. If the product was packaged in the condition it was in by the manufacturer, I would avoid buying anything made by them again. If the product was returned to Amazon from a previous customer and reshipped as new, it would raise some concern about Amazon's integrity. I suspect I will never know the true cause of the poor condition of the product as received. The person who recived the compact as a gift is happy with it, but I am disappointed with the overal experience.In fairness, I also must comment that all of my many other experiences with purchases from Amazon have been positive.

I had this 15X mirror for years but, as time passed it would not stand up anymore. Kept falling over. I was sure I would never be able to replace it. I found it on Amazon and it is New and Improved! Great for plucking eyebrows and applying eyeliner. You can see everything, good and bad. Can not live without this mirror. Best purchase you will ever make.

Not thrilled with the light bulb in my eyes

I love this mirror. Now I can see parts of my face that I couldn't with other mirrors I have at home. The delivery was fast. My mom has an older model which she's had for decades. I was so happy to find this one on Amazon while I was looking for a replacement bulb for my mom's mirror which I couldn't find anyway in my local area. No doubt I find everything I need at Amazon.

It's brilliant! It's portable! It works!Excellent light, and quality magnification. I use the 15 and 7 for tweezing, and for seeing things I really don't want to see. Just wish it came with a stand for makeup application.

Love, love this mirror, I had the 9 inch one for years (still have the mirror but after traveling and dropping it the plastic came apart) was happy to find another one.
