Just....Vacuum.
UPDATE: 2 years and this vacuum is still going with the original battery. Overall, I really like it. But some problems have popped up:1. After a period of time, the vacuum starts forcibly bumping into objects and doesn't navigate as well as it did originally. I found that I have to power the device off (power button on the bottom of the vacuum) and let it sit for a few minutes then power it up again. This resolves the issue for awhile but I've come to realize it needs to have this done every once in awhile.2. Rugs can be a challenge. This thing will sometimes be able to transition from floor to rug, but other times it will push the rug up and completely mess things up. Unless the rug is secured to the floor, expect very uneven results. Now back to my original review...-----------------------------------------My Powerbot 7010 is vacuuming my living room while I write this...talk about a time saver!I used to have a Roomba RED vacuum (vacuum may be too literal). After about 6 years of use, it finally blew a gasket and I think the motor died.I will not pay more than @$150 for another robot vacuum. That is my threshold.I saw this Powerbot on Amazon Warehouse for @$160. Near enough for me to give-in and purchase it, plus I was able to get the full warranty from Samsung.I researched MANY robot vacuum reviews (thanks to Amazon reviews and Youtube). I chose the Powerbot because it clearly has the same suction capability as the Dyson but the Powerbot is @ 80% cheaper (well for the price I paid). And certainly cheaper than Roomba's more modern robots. The Powerbot just ended it's vacuuming, brb...Hrm...I had coffee grounds on the floor next to the wall, it pretty much picked up all of that. It did a good job on the rest of the living room too. What others have said is true, it picked up a lot of stuff and my floor (other than the coffee grounds) seemed fairly clean before I had the bot go at it. But I want to run it again (I always ran my Roomba twice). 30 mins of vacuuming is all I got out of it. Supposedly that means this thing was vacuuming in turbo mode. I need to turn off the turbo mode to get more vacuuming time. My Roomba would not have gotten all of that mess, but it ran for a good 90 mins. The trade off of good vacuuming power vs battery time is a little tricky. To get the most out of this thing, setting it up on a schedule is best. The 7010 has this ability but it does not come with a remote, so you have to set it up on the unit itself. This is done by ...waiting until the time of day you want the bot to start and then press a couple buttons on the bot. That tells the bot to vacuum every day at the time you pressed the buttons. So every day while you're away at work, it vacuums a bit, recharges, vacuums more, recharges...until the place is all vacuumed. I'll let you know how THAT goes.Other than the good vacuuming power, how this thing navigates my place is another concern. I'm nearly impressed! For the most part, it would vacuum quickly across the floor towards an object, then slow down and very gently touch the edge. However, a couple of times, it simply ran into objects. Still, compared to my Roomba that rammed into everything, this is a step up. The edge cleaning is very cool and worked really well at picking up dirt where the wall and floor meet.I'm on the edge of giving this 4 stars. The vacuuming power on this is the most obvious reason I chose to purchase it. And it delivered. I'm not sure about how good the navigation and scheduling work. So I'm gonna keep using that and update this review at a later date to give insight. That's about it...ADJUSTMENTS:* When the vacuum needs to return to the charging dock, it will avoid paths that narrow down to less than twice the robots width. My Powerbot went around in circles like a scared little b!+©h! It refused to pass through an area that squeezed down to 20 inches wide. I shifted my fridge to give the robot 24 inches to work with and that solved the problem.UPDATE:Well I've had a chance to observe how this thing works over a few days using the Schedule feature. Once I made some adjustments, the vacuum starts when expected, vacuums everything and returns to its docking station. It does what it promised and I've upgraded this item from 3 to 4 stars.UPDATE: Lowered star rating from 4 to 3. After nearly 6 months of use, the unit is still under warranty. What has changed since I bought it?There's nothing complex about my furniture or place so now I think maybe the Powerbot is not as good as I had hoped. It still picks stuff up, but the navigation of the thing just seems messed up. I had it scheduled for daily vacuuming and I just let it do it's thing...All was good until about a month ago,It bumps into items more than it used to. For example, in the kitchen (well lit), it rams into my white refrigerator. It used to do this only to objects that are dark colored (e.g. the dark brown or black legs of a coffee table). The Powerbot also seems to have completely stopped using the edge pickup feature. Very annoying as it used to keep my floors pretty tidy!Kindest regards,Smorky Borbalporks,California, USA,Planet Earth, Sol System,Milky Way Galaxy, 3rd dimension.

GREAT CONTRAPTION, very impressive results, and very strong suction!
we totally love our Powerbot R7010, it works great! As we started it, after it ran 10 minutes it was already practically full... we had to empty it a couple of times for it to run Living Room and Kitchen, and we had Vacuumed just a few days before!!!So far we have to empty the Container once a day, but i can tell that the more we run it every evening, the least stuff it picks up, eventually it will be able to run a few days without emptying, but it is so easy to empty that i think i will empty it anyway every evening before starting it.Beware the front brush gets stuff tangled pretty easy, too bad this doesn't have the self cleaning brush, but i do have to say it is quite easy to clean it as there are 2 yellow tabs on the bottom that can be clicked, and the Front Brush comes out and you clean it in just a minute... i suggest you clean it every few runs as hair and carpet fibers get wrapped up around it easy, but WHO CARES?All i got to do is empty the container and clean the brush, at least i don't have to push around a Vacuum myself ;-)Anyway it is common sense to take some precautions before you touch the "Play Button" and make him go to work: every evening, before we start it, we take away any Cat toys where it can get tangled as well as making sure that the shoes are on the steps to go upstairs so it doesn't catch on the laces, and beware: if you have a run with little strings at the end: fold it!IT IS VERY QUIET: just beware that when it is new, it starts in ALWAYS TURBO mode, that kills the battery in less than 30mins, you will have to press and hold the PLAY button to make it run in normal mode, and don't worry, whenever he finds a bump or carpet, he automatically re-enables the TURBO mode to suck away everything, and then it goes back to quiet. In the more quiet mode it manages, in one charge, to clean our living room and our kitchen (about 550 sqaure feet)... we run it at night as we go to bed, but you have to leave some sort of lights on, if this thing doesn't have enough light to see the ceiling, it starts bumping on everything randomly, and keep in mind he has a hard time seeing black furniture, so it tends to hit it and sometimes even push it before it actually stops... if you have like me 2 little coffee tables on wheels, sometimes he just pushes them around the room! Also please take note that if you have a ceiling totally flat, with no lights or any other sort of markings, it has a hard time figuring out his own position, so you may want to buy some sort of sticker or something that you can put on the ceiling to use as markers. If you don't want to leave some lights on at night, then you may have to just run it before you go to work in the morning and let it work while you're gone, and that is totally fine as well, just as i said before: make sure you don't have anything around that can get tangled.I am very impressed with his Obstacle Overpassing capability: i have a fairly high treshhold between my kitchen and living room as it transitions from Hardwood to Tiles, as if that was not enough, about 3" after that there is a rail of a Sliding Door which is about 0.5" tall... so it is a double bump, and yet it has no problem going over it every day.So i am very very impressed with this Robotic Vacuum and we raccomand it to anyone!REASON FOR 4 STARS: it doesn't have the self clean brush, but as i said: it is very simple to remove and clean the brush it has!
