Saved us from fleas!!
We had a horrific flea infestation for several months. I am apparently delicious, and several years later, the scars on my legs from flea bites still leave me looking like some sort of plague victim. We tried everything to get rid of them - various flea meds, food safe diatomaceous earth in the carpets, vacuuming so much that our vacuum almost caught fire - and it was only after we got the VETS+BEST waterless shampoo and furniture spray that the infestation really started to die. The smell can be pretty intense, but it at least smells *nice*, rather than super bitter or medicinal or something. We bought this most recent round of VETS+BEST products for a friend who was trapped by a flea infestation, and it was just as effective for them last month as it was for us a few years ago! Glad the fleas havent adapted to survive it yet - as they have many medications...

Works, but difficult to wash scent off my hands.
Can't say how well it works since the cat I'm using it on is new to me and this is the first time applying it to her. Her previous owner said she used it on her and it works. My only issue with it is the scent. It does smell like mint and clove, obviously, since those are its ingredients. But it's pretty difficult to wash off my hands. I either have to wash SEVERAL times and/or use a scrub brush. But I do like that it's easy to apply to the cat, though I do have to sneak it on her a section of her body at a time, she won't sit still for a full application.

I wish it had done better, she has very long hair
Seriously think she has more fleas than she did before I used it. Have given her two head to tip of her tail and every little toe between baths with it and she is now biting her hair out in clumps. She is doing lots of laying around, and is not interested in any type of play. Not normal for her. I wish it had done better, she has very long hair, and I MIGHT get a 3rd bath out of it once I know for sure it's safe and she's not getting sick. I really lathered her up good with it, liked the smell so much better than anything else we've tried, but she's just not acting herself. Is this normal? I avoided her face, ears, and genitals. I used a wipe to clean the flea dirt off her skin that the comb didn't get off. and really looked her over good, sure thought we had them off...Maybe she's just pouting, she doesn't want anything to do with baths, will tolerate brushing and her flea combs (barely) She was like this after the first application a few days ago as well, just not as bad, or for as long, and so I waited 2 full days to use it again, knew I'd need to reapply, I could see the fleas moving when I combed her out with her flea combs. This is her, (and MY) first case of the fleas, so we're trying to learn what to do, I hate her feeling so miserable and the bites on her hurt me almost as much as they do her. I did order some D.E. today, and a different type (double tooth) comb. Also a flea trap. So far we do not seem to have any in our house, not sure where they even came from, she doesn't go outside, and has no contact with any other animals. I'm just at a loss here, but determined to get them off of her, something has to work, hopefully before she is chewed up any worse. She's a silver Maine Coon, weighs between 17 - 20 lbs. (so far) and her hair is pretty thick and long, but I certainly wet her down good and got the product on her skin. Did I use too much? Any advice? We CANNOT use Frontline, it makes her very sick. I just assumed that any chemical product would do the same thing, and kept looking for a natural way to help her. Had such high hopes, but back to the drawing board, and a few more hours of research I guess.

It Works!
After wasting my money on other products including Frontline and Advantage, this product line is what worked! I used lots of different products and this was the system that finally did the trick. Bathe the cat, then use the safe cat spray and waterless bath by Vet's Best as touch ups in the difficult areas over the next days/weeks. I don't like using waterless products because the cat licks the byproducts, but if you use it sparingly and as needed to control the fleas it works and doesn't make the cat sick. The cocoon stage is the toughest to beat. Get a soft bristle brush (usually comes dual sided) which can be used during bathing and post bathing, which helps to remove the cocoons and larvae. I brush the cat on a counter and you will be able to see what is getting flicked off the cat. Don't brush your cat on your floor. At one point all the products that I had tried before Vet's Best forced me to have to shave my cats and we were still losing the flea battle. Advantage and Frontline no longer works. Call your veterinarian to learn which flea drops work in your area. The fleas have evolved. I used these products for years with great success, but no more. I also had covered all of my furniture with sheets and towels and washed consistently until we got things under control. The Biocare flea trap (with light) is also a great purchase. The Vet's Best spray for the home also doesn't stink like other products.
