no idea. If I lived in California, I would run as fast as I can.

I have this cover on a 48" round 1" thick table top and have 3" extra material around the entire circumference. I'd "estimate" there would be about 9" (all the way around) extra fabric in your application. There seem to be inconsistent reviews from reviewers with regard to whether the elastic is adequate to tighten up the extra material on a 36" table top. Sorry I couldn't answer exactly. I can say that the cover works well in my application and that the material is a great surface for playing cards, etc.

As stated in the description section, this cover has elastic around the edge. This elastic edge is sufficient to hold the cover in place on my 48” round table. It is noted by Amazon that this item is returnable so if you aren’t pleased with the fit on your 36” table, simply return it.
