Wonderful Visual Cue for Time
I use this as a therapist to keep track of time in the periphery without needing to look at a clock. Also use it as an ADHD visual cue when I’m trying to commit to working on something for a set period of time. It’s wonderful. The first one I got made a ticking noise and I returned it, but this one is entirely silent.

Great design!
I love the design of this timer. It's set from the front so it's controlled directly, not from the back, not in reverse. The time that's left can be read from across the room. No annoying ticking. Times up is sounded by four double beeps, then silence. No need to get up and shut it off. It's surrounded by a kind of rubber surface that protects it should it fall to the floor. And the battery compartment snaps in place (no need to find and use a micro screwdriver to change the battery (one AA battery).

Modern/ Classic
Modern/classic. Made well. Makes work feel like a timed game.

Love it
One of my favorite Amazon purchases of all time. This timer sat in my cart for over a month before I pulled the trigger. I was skeptical that a physical timer would offer an advantage over the digital timer in my iPhone. But I am completely in love with it. The physical timer really does help me to visualize time better. I use it to practice my timed exams. I also use it as a visual reminder to stand up from my desk periodically throughout the day. I highly endorse this product. I may even buy the travel size for my office.

Best Pomodoro timer yet, but somewhat ill-suited for open offices
Pros:- Unlike the other reviewers, my timer is still holding up well after 1.5+ years of daily use (8+ uses/day, frequently throwing it in my backpack). The only casualty so far is that my toddler pried off the pointy part of the dial to help set the timer, which makes it a little harder to grasp it- I find the highly visible "time remaining" a much better way / more motivating way to convey time left in a work block than a simple time countdown- Also unlike other reviewers, I like the "twist to set" function. The original Pomodoro Method actually recommends taking some manual "set timer" action like this at the start of each work block. While I'm not convinced it's essential, I definitely don't mind it. It's true that the timer lacks resolution beyond ~30 second increments, but I don't really care if I set my timer for 25 minutes or 25 minutes and 30 seconds.Cons:- It's hard to use this in an open office environment without disturbing others. The only two volume options are LOUD and silent, which is fine at home but unfair to those around me in the office. I'd love some alarm that alerts me at my desk but is less disturbing to those around me, like a bright blinking light on the front clock face. I also think an additional "low" volume setting would make this less offensive in open offices.- Similarly, I'd love some "acknowledge alarm" button on the top that silences the alarm for this block. Right now, I do this by leaping for the alarm, fumbling for the small switch on the back, and sliding it from "volume on" to "volume off". This would probably be less important if there were a better alarm mode for not aggravating others (e.g. low volume or blinking light), but would still be nice regardlessOverall, I definitely continue to recommend this to others.

The best of TimeTimers. Better than “home” model
I have previously owned one of the “home” models of the TimeTimer. I like these as they help with ADHD focus time. It shows how much time is left in a session. They are quick and easy to set and immediately count down. I’m super sensitive to even the lightest sounds and this makes zero noise as it counts down. I love that you can disable the ringer at the end too. I use it to get in the zone. So if the time ends while I’m in the zone I don’t want it distracting me. I want to keep going and I like that this does it.This model is an improvement over the Home model. I like the interchangeable silicon housing cover. It allows you to customize it without buying a whole new timer. The silicone is also just nicer anyway as it grips to the desk and is nice to handle. This model accepts a small screw over the batter compartment to kids don’t take the battery out if this is in school or you have a concern about that. I don’t but it’s a change over the home model. The build quality of this one is much better than the home model as well. It is sturdier and slightly larger. The red timer backing is also better than the Home model. This one doesn’t have the time clear tab over the timer part. Most people won’t care about this but it shows that it’s higher quality and a cleaner timer face as well.I’m happy with this one. I’ll probably buy more in the future and I’ll always buy this model over the Home going forward. It’s only a few dollars more and worth it in my opinion.

Cannot go wrong.
I love this little timer. I use it for my trade shows when I do readings. This way I can set the time and it’s really easy for people to see and they get to see how much time is left visually. And the alarm is not too loud for my clients.

works as descibed
I absolutely love this and wish I got it much sooner! You can set it with or without the beeping noise, and you will see the color disappearing to help you know you only have that much time left and to try to help you have a sense of urgency. Great!
