AcuRite 01598A1 12.5-Inch Wall Thermometer, Bluebirds

Love the look of colorful bluebirds hanging on oak tree outside my kitchen window!! The numbers are easy to read and add a bright spot for a visual delight.

At first after reading another reviewers comment about the picture getting wet, I was a little nervous buying this Thermometer, but my husband said that it is up against the wood and there is no real way water would get in once hung up. Where you would put a nail, is an overhang, so it isn't going to get wet between that and being up against the shed. Accurate Reading and can see it well from a Good Distance. Love the picture of course.Still looking good on our shed and the lettering and size is perfect for reading. It hasn't gotten wet even though we have had snow covering it at times, all winter nearly except for the tip top to read it and I love to see what the temperature is. It is also much nicer in person than the picture depicts. So I say go for it. Great purchase, I'm very pleased.

My husband loves this thermometer as it is easy to see the numbers on it. Nice purchase!

not real accurate tendency to read warmer my old one did too

Such a cute bird picture! But I got it for a hot place in my yard and the picture warped in the sun so it didn’t work after the second day. Since it supposedly measures 140- I never thought heat would ruin it. It did measure 120 accurately. But once the paper background with bird warped there is no way the hand can move.

Pretty with vivid colors. Easy to hang. My 93 year old Mother can easily read it

I just bought one of these mainly for the look and not the accuracy, but I was surprised that the bimetal spring that acts as the sensor is left open and free to the elements. Every other such item I purchased before had at least a small cup over the element to protect it from, well, the "elements" ... (dust, rain, you know). This model does not and so insects can get into the structure pretty quick. I would suggest it be called "indoor only" for truth in advertising! What's ironic is I bought it because it's made in USA and yet is cheaper and of poorer construction than the many China made versions sold. The company needs to pay attention to this fact!

I have been using this exact one for over 10 years and it’s always been accurate. I replace them every three years because after being out in the sun they start to get faded but I’ve never had an issue with them not being accurate and I do periodically check to make sure I highly recommend it.!

When this item arrived it was smashed I have package the parcel up to send back and it is costing me 19.00 pound the thermometer was 20.00 !! Any help??????
