Suspenseful and funny
I really enjoyed the stories in this magazine! I picked it up because I am a fan of Paullette Gaudet's work and wanted to read her story in this issue. Gaudet's story, "The Hereafter Party," completely lived up to my expectations--the characters are vivid, the dialogue is fantastic, and the story is funny and suspenseful. Another favorite in this issue was "The Coin and the Chemist" by Nijo Philip, a Holmesian story set in New York. Overall, these were highly entertaining, gripping stories that kept me wishing I didn't have to go to bed or get off the bus and close the book!

Too Little Holmes
Maybe it was just the issue I bought, but, as a Sherlock fan of longstanding I was mildly disappointed. I have the Canon on my bookshelves. I re-read periodically. As the years pass my frequency increases. Memory is the second thing to go. I can't remember the first!I was looking for quality pastiches. What I got in this issue was mainly non-Holmes stories of detection supposedly in the Holmes style. Maybe.Yes there were a couple of Holmesian stories, but why do Holmes fans need copies of stories from the Canon?True Holmesians have them ALL handy on their shelves.
