Mac's Field Guide Northern California Park & Garden Birds

My son is totally paralyzed and has his exercise equipment in front of a wall of windows. He has never been interested in animals until he got this and the book about the birds. He can now identify these birds and it has been a complete lifesaver for all the pain he is going through, to watch the activities of not only birds, but other animals too. He is thoroughly enjoying this guide to birds.

We love this! It’s great for backyard birdwatching or taking on trips. Perfect for homeschool use, kids or adults will enjoy it!

The product arrived on time and is good quality. Unfortunately the shipper crammed this quality product into the box and put a terrible crease into the lamination. This will probably reduce the longevity of the product drastically. Clearly they just don't care.

A little small, so I will need to pair with a magnification sheet, however a great reference to keep by the door with the binoculars.For class purposes, I would choose a larger poster.

Clever little chart to get a quick view of birds in your area, within Northern California. For me, it's handy to keep in the garden, so I don't have to run into the house anytime I want to try to identify a bird near me. It's laminated, so there's no worry of moisture rot as I keep it clipped nearby on a post by the garden tool shed.

Simple drawings, I doubt it could help a beginner bird watcher to identify birds.It does not have birds of prey either, which are very common and very interesting to watch. Maybe I should had read the description better, but I still do not understand for which audience it is targeted for. I was looking for a field guide that would be simple enough for kids to recognize common birds while hiking. Short comments under each bird to help distinguish from similar birds would be nice as well.

Pictures are not as well defined as I'd hoped. I'd also wanted something that could fit easier in a purse or bag. This is rather long. Also, no birds of prey

Like the idea of a quick reference but printing detail for the pictures is just adequate.
