I bought this just in case of blackouts over the winter.It came well packaged in a compact little box with bubble wrap and three plastic-sealed AA batteries. A quick test revealed that it works great. It's just bright enough to light up a small room, but not quite as bright as a desk lamp, certainly not as bright as a standard lightbulb or fitting. Good enough for an emergency though, safer (and more compact) than candles.There's a fold-out loop on the top that can be used to hang it from a hook or a string, and a magnet embedded that lets you snap it to almost anything metal. I was surprised just how useful that is, I must have spent a good 10 minutes just attaching it to stuff around the room, to see how it lights up the space at different angles. It's also flat on the top, so you can simply just set the unit down on any flat (ideally high) surface and it will throw the light upwards, bouncing it off the ceiling, lighting up the space. Very very versatile.It's light too, and compact.I took the batteries out, popped it back into it's handy little box, and tucked it away.I can't comment on the longevity or reliability of this, clearly, but from what I've seen of it so far I think it's great. Build quality seems ok (it's not super sturdy, but not flimsy either), and seems well priced at nine quid - delivered, with batteries.I like it.

Brilliant little light! Used it for camping and was pleasantly surprised considering the price. Would for sure recommend!

Bought this as a backup light to use in the event of a power cut. It's small, feels relatively durable, and puts out a decent amount of light. It's a very cold light though, which I'd welcome being a little warmer. The light is not directional and distributes evenly around the room too, so it works well as a table lantern. The only issue I had was that the delivery driver must've been a little heavy handed as when I came home, the light was on in the box. Better packaging would make the button a little harder to accidentally press.

Fabulous wee light. Lovely and bright and easy to use. Well worth the money.

Why did you choose this product over others?:Bought this to go inside our pop up tent . Good illumination and gives two levels of brightness which was more than enough to light up inside of tent . Comes with a hanging hook and a magnet but havnt tried magnet yet. Good little light.

Great compact and bright light will be perfect for our camping trip, really handy with magnet as well as handle.
