I like that the handle rotates 180 degrees. I can move it either way to stop

Does the handle close towards the female side? Can I use a washer to connect the female to another pipe or do need to use teflon tape ?

It doesn't matter which way the handle closes , you can fit the valve in either direction , there is no flow arrow. The valve is pipe thread so you need to use tape to seal the joints. Also you can turn the handle left or right to shut it off and to open line the handle up with the pipe. I fitted mine female out only because on my old compressor it was the only way to do it.

It has to be lead free, couldn't sell it otherwise without telling you, but on a different note, the one I just installed just cracked and separated under normal conditions, so I would not buy it again. You might think " how could it crack?" - when the inside is machined too large, the wall becomes too thin and will sever under pressure. Hope this helps.

Is this 1/4" npt valve "full-port"???

Yes it's 1/4" NPT . It can be installed in either direction and it's full flow . if the handle is turned either full left or right it's closed and handle in line open . You can regulate the flow. It's a good valve.
