A little cheaper here than running to the local big box hardware store. Honestly, I change these occasionally in my Frigidaire side by side but I never notice any difference between a new filter and a year old one. I don't think it does a whole lot. Maybe if you keep a lot of strong-smelling things in your fridge like fish & garlic it might do something?

...it comes in/with a clunky plastic case, which I personally do not need. My fridge already comes with a fixed case, which I am suppose to slide the filter into. I wish there was an option to buy a filter without the case, because it is kind of a waste- pretty thick peace of plastic.

Works great. I used the filter in my fridge which already had the holder built in and I recycled the one they sent me in this package. It's a shame that buying the filter packaged this way is cheaper than just buying the filter alone.

Everything showed up as described. The only issue was that my fridge already has a case for it. So if it was explained a little better that the case only works for some fridges, it would have helped me to purchase the package with two filters, vise one filter and one case.

I used to get this filter in the store but it is difficult to find. It cost less through Amazon anyways and the water tastes great.

If you are looking for a retrofit filter and mounting frame for any refrigerator, fine, but this is not designed for Frigidaire direct replacement. The company rep. said they would revise the listing so as not to mislead buyers, but they have not done so. You can get a three pack of direct fit Frigidaire air filters for the price of this single oversized item. It is not a direct fit replacement. Amazon needs to look into the labeling of this product.Also the company did not issue the promised refund. For refrigerator odors, charcoal impregnated cardboard may not work any better than baking soda, which is a cheaper proven product. Very excited that I found this air filter. I purchased this same filter from Frigidaire at a higher price. I was told that I would not find this filter any where else. Where he is it and it fits. Thank you I will be ordering this every few months as needed.
