Can't beat the accuracy and reliability of Apogee products
If I had to force a complaint I'd say I wish I didn't have to remove 2 screws to access the USB-C port, but I have no doubt it's concealed where it is for a reason, and it's not much of an inconvenience at all. Otherwise it's all positive marks for the DLI-600. The universal thread is a great idea, I picked up an inexpensive, telescoping tripod/wand to use for quick and long term readings. Compared these readings with a 2 year old MQ-510 and they're nearly identical. Easy to access the files via the included USB-C cable on my laptop. You get what you pay for and I have no doubt this DLI-600 will be taking accurate readings for years to come. No more burning, or under lighting my plants. Keep up the good work, Dr. Bruce.

Now I know my light is at the correct height. The best par meter that exists.
Very easy to use. It is easy to give a plant too much light. If you use this meter your plants will get just what they need.

Exactly what I needed for my experiment!

Defectuoso

Not thunderstorm resistant
This died within a month while out in thunderstorms occasionally. It seemed accurate but to read it you have to open it, which disconnects the batteries and forgets today’s results. It only records CSV with data for every half hour for ten days (and daily for 100 days I think), even though it samples more frequently. It didn’t show up when connected to my iPad or modern Mac, but it did intermittently connect to my very old Mac (from 2006).I loved it despite these problems but for the price I need it to survive the weather.

Broken From Bad Design
The battery compartment screw was completely stripped and the screw falls out. It arrived like that. Incredibly poor design for an expensive instrument.
