I’ve been using OtterBox cases for years, and the Commuter Series for iPhone 13 Pro continues to deliver exactly what I expect—strong, reliable protection without the bulk. This case fits the iPhone 13 Pro perfectly (important note: it’s ONLY for the Pro, not the regular 13 or Pro Max). It’s easy to put on, and once it’s on, it feels solid and secure. The dual-layer design offers great shock absorption, and the raised edges give extra peace of mind for screen and camera protection. What I really like about the Commuter series is that it strikes a perfect balance—slimmer than the Defender series, but still way more protective than most thin cases out there. It slides easily in and out of my pocket, and the textured sides provide a great grip. If you’re looking for a no-nonsense, durable case for your iPhone 13 Pro that doesn’t feel like a brick, this is a great choice. OtterBox never disappoints.

Hülle sieht toll aus, schützt denke ich sehr gut und dabei etwas schlanker als die Defender Series. So weit so toll. Sie besteht aus zwei Komponenten, wobei auch zwei verschiedene Materialien verwendet werden, einerseits glatter, kaum griffiger Kunststoff, das andere Silikon oder Synthesekautschuk, jedenfalls mit deutlich besserem Grip. Leider überwiegt der glatte Kunststoffanteil und die griffigen Stellen sind nicht optimal platziert beziehungsweise zu wenige. Fürs Frei-in-der-Hand-Halten reicht es zwar aber ich kann das Handy zum Beispiel nicht hochkant auf dem Tisch irgendwo anlehnen, da ist mir dann weg rutscht. Ich hatte vorher eine Defenderhülle aus Naturkautschuk, deren Grip deutlich besser war, leider allerdings sich durch magnetische Ladevorgänge und Hitzeentwicklung verzogen hat. Das wird mit dieser Hülle ganz bestimmt nicht passieren, was wiederum ein Pluspunkt wäre. Summa summarum: Hülle ist schön schlank bei aus meiner Sicht besserem Schutz als die meisten anderen Hüllen (und vor allem auch schlanker als die Defenderhüllen) sieht gut aus, stabil im Rahmen möglicher Erwärmungen beim Aufladen; negativ aber ist leider die reduzierte Griffigkeit. Somit kann es keine fünf Sterne geben. Nachtrag: nach mittlerweile mehrmonatigem Gebrauch stelle ich fest, dass ich die Griffigkeit als absolut ausreichend finde und auch o. erwähntes Problem als doch weniger problematisch herausstellt, so dass ich auf fünf Sterne hoch korrigiere.

The description says it is MagSafe compatible. But none of the three different MagSafe batteries I have stick to the phone. What’s the point of having magnets that don’t work to keep the battery in place? So buyers beware. If you buy this model in the hope of getting good protection AND able to use the magnets of the MagSafe batteries, look elsewhere.

I always joke that I have soap in my hands because I drop my phone all the time. Honestly, my phone would have been destroyed many times if it wasn’t for this case. OtterBox cases are like rocks, very strong and reliable. Great protection and definitely worth it if you want to keep your phone safe.
