Love this thermometer. Exactly what I needed for my compost. I have not calibrated against any instruments but it does work well for my purposes.

I take my pile's temperature daily. My compost pile. The thermometer works great. No complaints.

Seems to work fine, accurate and responsive
It works just fine. Pretty responsive when you stick it in compost pile. Had an accurate reading within 20 seconds on a pretty cold day. Left it in during a few slight rains, no water in the display. Great value purchase

Information accompanying product very limited.
Assembly something of a nightmare. The were assembly instructions. They weren't great, but OK. After assembly, I hoped for instructions regarding use, but there was absolutely nothing.The sliding doors to the composting chambers are extremely hard to slide.I will look on line for more information.If I am rating the thermometer, there is little to say about it. Again, no information on use.
