simple to use and maintain, makes a consistently decent cup of coffee
Makes a good cup of coffee unlike others which I have owned,(spinn, nespresso), I have a milk foamer, so I bought this simpler model which is perfect for me, because there's less cleaning than with a foamer or a milk thingie. I use their fancy water filter so I don't have to descale it, love that, worth the money. Cleaning is pretty easy using their little tablet things. One dumb thing, 'the grounds container needs to emptied' message, seems to be just based on a count. A few times I was proactive and cleaned it all out, only to get the message within the next time or two that I used the machine, and as far as I recall, it wasn't enough to pull the thing out and slide it back in. Sometimes I have to swirl the beans a bit because they don't drop into the grinder, I got into the habit of doing it most of the time after I make a cup just to reset things. Not worth making a cup with too few beans in it because the grinder didn't fill properly. I only drink Jamaican Blue Mtn and this machine does fine with it.

Only last 2 years
I have gone through 3 Jura's in 7 years. The Jura ena 4 always breaks as soon as warranty expires. The metal mesh puck maker gets clogged and have to clean it out over and over again by hand. They make if difficult to open the machine to clean without special tool and it is $400 to send off to fix. Also, waste so much coffee when it does not work properly. Some will say it is because of the espresso beans but I have tried too many brands with same results. I love the machine in en while it works and makes the best espresso around but after two years you have a $1200 paper weight.

Best Coffee Marker Around
Got this smaller version for our second home since it would be hell not to have Jura coffee in the mornings. Coffee tastes just the same!

Best in class and far better than any other line.
Crazy must have for the coffee lover! Will continue as built to last! These will do 10 years when properly maintained.

Not an Improvement Over the Model A1
My old Jura ENA model A1 lasted a little more than ten years before it started leaking and bit the dust. I really liked that machine. It was fast, easy to clean, and made a very respectable cup of espresso. The ENA 4 is replacement for the model A1. There are a couple of things to like about the new ENA 4, but at the end of the day, there are a lot more things that I dislike. I like that I can see the water level in the reservoir from the front of the machine. I also like the mechanical buttons vs. the old touchpad controls. That's about it. The things I dislike about the ENA 4 are that it is much slower to brew a cup of coffee. If the machine has been sitting for more than a few minutes, it wants to go through some sort of rinsing cycle before it grinds and starts brewing. On my old machine, I could get a fresh cup of espresso in about 20 to 30 seconds. The ENA 4 takes around a minute and a half to two minutes -- whirring and rinsing before it finally gets around to grinding and brewing. It also goes through a lot of water with all the rinses, necessitating filling the water reservoir frequently and emptying the waste container after brewing only very few cups. The waste container is also way more complicated that on the previous model, with more parts, hinged sections, and is way more likely to spill over when it's removed from the machine. The bean hopper also has some sort of safety grate in it, which frequently jams up, preventing beans from falling into the grind mechanism, which is annoying. Jura has also updated the water filters for this machine, which include some sort of proprietary electronics, which means that you can no longer use filters made by anyone other than Jura...and they are even more expensive than the earlier Jura filters! All in all, given the high price of this machine, the high cost of Jura filters and maintenance supplies, and the added labor required to keep it running...I don't think it's worth it. I could have purchased an awful lot of Nespresso capsules for what it cost to purchase and maintain the ENA 4, and there's a lot less fussing with emptying, cleaning, and filling with Nespresso. Not to mention that the coffee is just as good, and it's way faster!

Great Coffee
Love my new machine. Have been purchasing Jura coffee makers for 20 years. Love the new look, small footprint and white color. Makes great coffee. Only downside is you can’t get a full cup of coffee. To fill up a regular coffee cup I have to enter 1 coffee followed by 1 espresso size. I needed to study product details more carefully before purchasing but will make due. This particular model does not come with a milk steamer. It’s not an issue for me but something to keep in mind in you prefer steamed milk.

Must read!
I have raved about this machine and then after 3 months it stops working! I’m not allowed to return it. I can’t get any help and the company that Amazon contracted with isn’t recognized by the Jura Company. Not good! How do you rate something that only lasted for three months?

We did all of the maintenance it told us to do but it eventually had an error that needed to go into the shop for. Because Amazon is not a certified dealer there is no warranty and the cost to fix it is 500 dollars. Very disappointed if you buy from a local shop they give you two year warranty!

Me llegó medio roto el tanque del agua y fuga a agua. Dejó ya de hacerlo, tal vez era un desajuste del mecanismo.
